"New to the area and keen to find a great Indian. As a start I think it is a tiny bit pricey for take away (not sure how it compares to restaurant prices). Chicken chat was OK. Onion Bhaji was average. Chilli garlic chicken tikka was very good and the chicken especially good. Garlic naan was a bit soggy. Good staff and the garlic chilli chicken a good reason to keep trying?!"

"Thank you for providing such impressive buffet food for us last week. We had a hectic few days of courses which we were hosting, and so being able to rely on you to provide the food for everyone was great. As always dealing with Tastebuds is so easy, the service is fantastic and friendly. The food always wonderful and great value for money. You will always be our go to for hot or cold outside catering. Thanks again."

"Can’t disagree with all the other negative reviews don’t recommend this hotel. We have stayed in many James Places hotels and they were all excellent but I have to say this is the worst hotel I have stayed in. Needs a good cleaning top to bottom all the tables in the hotel had stains on them. Shame this hotel is set in an amazing backdrop to Lancashire green and pleasant landscape. Staff friendly enough but lacked enthusiasm ."

"I came with a few freinds for lunch the cafe was extremely busy and all staff especially the young woman in glasses worked very well under the pressure. We were given many options to food and had a great laugh with the lovely woman in glasses who had earlier greeted us on our e Terence. Definitely a hidden gem would recommend food was brilliant!"

"We had a really friendly welcome from the owners and locals, the pub was comfortbly and traditionally furnished nd the beer excellent. The menu was not extensive but still offered good choice. We both had the steak and kidney pud with mash and veg which was excellent and (beware) enormous. My regret was that I was too full for the puddings which presumably would have been equally good. This was our first visit to the area and also brief so we were unable to return. It was a bit quiet when we arrived but really lively when we left. I can thoroughly recommend the black bull and we hope to return soon. Almost forgot. Excellent value for money"

"Tried a few in the area and have no doubt this is the best and one worth travelling too. Never had a bad meal and their prices are good for the area and the welcome is warm. It's a take away only from a place that's been in the area for some time Personal favourite is the Chicken Tikka Rezala."
