"Absolutely delighted that Memories of Bengal has reopened in Cholsey. It’s been much missed in the village whilst it was closed. The food as always is excellent. We started with a couple of Indian restaurant classics onion bhaji vegetable samosas. Bhaji’s crisp and tasty and wonderfully spiced. Samosa’s packed with deliciousness yum! For our mains, I had the Mirchi Chicken Tikka with keema naan, my wife had the Prawn Xacuti dish with coconut rice, and we had a side of another classic, a vegetable curry. It was fantastic. I’ve never found the Mirchi Tikka on any other Indian restaurant menu and it’s by far my favourite dish of all time. Essentially a really spicy hot chicken tikka served on the traditional sizzling skillet with fried onions. Yes please!!! Keema naan dipped in the vegetable curry cor! All round a fantastic meal, washed down with a couple of Cobras. They currently have prides set really low also to get people back in so we’ll worth a trip. They’ll soon be changing the menu please keep the Mirchi Chicken Tikka on there guys!!"

"Front of house staff need some training, as the quality and attention to detail is very much lacking, lots of time play on their phone! Admittedly the place was quite quiet... But not what customers should see....it's not the first time I've eaten there... But possibly the last upon my choice. Food quality was ok, but not all that tasty, and not authentic as I've travelled extensively in Korea and Japan. I like my food to be tasty, not necessarily crazy hot and spicy, it fell well short of the mark, my fellow diners also felt the same. The kitchen smells also find there way into the restaurant leaving your clothes smelling of the kitchen, not part of the experience and noted by the wife when I came home. On the plus side food was freshly prepared with what looked to be fresh ingredients, so it's not all bad however This place needs an injection of goodness if it's going to be profitable, given its location its success is going to be founded. on word of mouth promotion and adverts in the likes of round and about magazine."
