"The best and original South Indian biriyani in london. No one can catch this up to now. in my 12 years of experiencing various tastes in london, I discovered this maamalas. wow, so delicious. you will never be disappointed. beautiful smiling hospitality of basker and panneerselvam. very professional. the restaurant is a little small, but the taste is too big."

"A few weeks ago I ordered the food from this restaurant for the first time. I was happy with eating, nicely cooked, delicious and reasonable price. delivery lasted about half an hour (i am local) . plus they have added kartoffel side dish for me for free, that was a nice bonus : will be reordered by them"

"Visited the Bodrum, not for the first time, and had a lovely Turkish meal. We are frequent visitors to Turkey so our standards are high. We had a mixed meze to start, followed by a mixed kebap to share. The portions were very generous with a huge plate of salad. We finished with fresh baklava. I had 2 Efes beers, Julie had coke. Unlimited bread of course! The bill, £34. The food is as good as you will find in Turkey itself!"

"I've been coming back to Forest Tandoori for years now and it's never deviated in terms it's high quality food and great service. Some stand out dishes on this year's visit were the tandoori chicken wings, king prawn puri, and garlic chili dish (some of which are pictured below). You can bring your own booze from the off license next door and the corkage fee is very reasonable. I'm very much looking forward to returning next year!"

"Have been going here for years with my family or ordering takeaway... It is the best curry in chingford, however tonight we left without eating because it has gone down hill... Only 2 waiters and all they cared about is the christmas party. Waited 30 mins to order drinks and they even asked us if we wanted popodoms before hand... what resturant asks for starters before drinks... 40mins later after asking 3 times can we order and them telling us to wait we left... We will be back but hopefully they hire some more staff!"

"I feel like I'm still waiting for my food.... Was going to an event at so me and three friends went to Maamalas at for a meal. After ordering drinks, we were expecting a few starters and popadoms to be offered. We had...to ask for popadoms half an hour after ordering our food. We thought maybe it was an oversight and didn’t think much of it. It then became apparent, this is how it is done at Maamalas. Our starters came around an *hour* after we ordered them, and our meal came at around half Our meals not only came ridiculously late, but in drips and drabs. We ordered three curry dishes, one portion of rice, and three different naan breads. This came to the table over the course of about minutes, meaning that after an hour and a half wait, our food got to us with parts of it cold. The entire experience was sour, and made even worse by really appalling customer service. During the hour and a half wait, no staff came to apologise for the wait. Not acknoewlodegdment at all. When we'd finished our meal, we complained to the man seeming to be running the shop. Not only was he unapologetic for the service and the half-cold food, not to mention the m wait, but when we said we wouldn't pay for the meal in full, he started arguing. The entire ordeal finished with us offering to pay for the drinks. We eventually stormed out without paying, as did other customers throughout the long wait. I certainly won’t be going back there anytime soon! You simply can’t run a restaurant like that."

"We ate in restaurant (that is a novelty in these days) and enjoyed great, fast, friendly service. our server knew all allergens on the menu, but personally went to talk to the cook before we ordered. the food was delicious, restaurant was clean. will definitely return soon"
