"We had taken up a voucher deal for Shelly's Beach Pavilion and had booked for a lunch in June, but personal issues meant that we had to cancel literally at the last minute. Management understood our situation and accommodated our priorities beautifully.When we finally returned, the weather wasn't as sunny as the first time. In fact it was a bleak atmosphere outside. What better place is there than near an open fire overlooking the ocean on a grey and cold day?The restaurant was pretty empty when we got there and we hoped that wasn't because of a local reputation that we knew nothing about.We were seated by the fire place and offered house wines as part of our deal. Call me a wine snob, but the house red was tasteless. I asked to see the wine menu and chose a much more suitable (and reasonably priced) wine.We began our meal with entrees of Crispy Pork Belly and Prawn Skewers (forgive me for not remembering the actual names of the meals, but it was over two weeks ago since we dined here). The pork belly meat melted in the mouth but the crackle on the pork was different to any I had had before. I suspect it was crisped up in the wood fired oven. It seemed less oily and more delicate in flavour. The Prawns were well cooked and the accompanying sauce was spicy and flavoursome.For mains we had Seafood Pasta and Crumbed Barramundi. There was plenty of seafood in the pasta and it was beautifully cooked. The roasted vegitables that accompanied the barramundi enhanced the fish.For dessert we had Panna Cotta and Ferrero Rocher icecream, followed by coffees.Desserts were superb! Nothing else to say. Yum!The service was fast and helpful, and the time between the courses was more than satisfactory in that we didn't feel rushed or forgotten.Even though we had the discount voucher, and this is a common marketing tool to attract new customers, I would happily go back and pay full price for all of the dishes we enjoyed. Well worth the distance travelled."

"We had lunch at pelicans landing.l had a spaghetti marinara...absolutely beautiful.The seafood was so fresh and they were generous with their meals. The staff take great care of you. If you happen to go to Williamstown or live there l highly recommend this restaurant."

"Delicious take away souva or sit down in their dog friendly court yard. My dogs loved it with lots of space and a huge umbrella to block the leaves and bugs! Had a lamb souva and my friend had a vegetarian souva which was both delicious!"

"Well it been 5 years since eating at Foons and this time the food was slow coming and just tasteless food. The sweet and sour pork was terrible bright reddish sticky sweet and sour and a small dish expensive. Hey they no longer have noodles of any type and the Chinese sausage I think I got 8 mall pieces. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place if you won't a tasty meal.Had to buy a pizza on the way home as my friends were Hungary."

"I have been to Hollyhock a number of times as I am a Port Melbourne local. As always, the food is sensational and the steak literally melts in your mouth. The atmosphere, pricing and position of the restaurant is excellent, however the service really lets it down. I sat there for 15 minutes before asking a waitress if I am supposed to come to the bar to order a drink (as no one served me they then came out with the food and didnt ask if we wanted another drink, and then after the food we asked for more water, she bought the bottle over and saw we only had 1 glass (as she poured the water! and didnt ask if we wanted a second glass. This is the same service we receive each time which is extremely frustrating. As an owner, they might like to know they are loosing business due to their staff's extremely poor customer service. I would have spent an extra $50 on drinks, had I been asked if I wanted one."
