"Had sea Bream which was grilled lovely. The vegetables were cooked but only had 2 little potatoes and a salad garnish. For 15 Euros I expected a bit more. The tables were sticky too. Flies are abundant and they do not use any deterrents."

"We loved por do sol restaurant, it has a farmhouse feel with the decor and the food and service is first class, the waiters are very friendly and welcoming and fantastic host. the fillet steak is absolutely tasty, monkfish chunky and tasty,. smoked salmon melts in their mouth and flambe strawberries and cream brulee were a perfect finish. I recommend this fabulous restaurant. I can't wait to go back if I'm next in alvor."

"We visited this restaurant in August and have just to check. Waiting for food was about an hour and when it finally arrived, it was best. The "potatoes" that accompanied my food were cramps.... very strange!. When the restaurant card...machine was down then, we had a heated disagreement with the waiter in front of the entire square.... his attitude was insulting...... Very good. Would not recommend and will not return."

"Relatively small restaurant but still had a table available for our family of four at 8:30pm. Very relaxed vibe, fantastic freshly cooked food, great wine. They bought samples of the desserts to the table, they looked so good we ordered all four and they didn’t disappoint. The complimentary port after our meal was a lovely touch and serving my wife’s in a huge glass add some fun. Our favourite restaurant to date on our holiday this year"
