"Last night was our second visit and it has become a firm favourite. Can't fault it at all. A lovely warm welcome on arrival, great food, fantastic staff who can't do enough for you and excellent value for money. We will definitely back again in the future. Just BRILLIANT."

"No The rudest judgemental owner! My daughter 3 friends (2 working on nights) had a pre Christmas get together ordered from Fresh Bites. They said it’ll be 1.5 hrs, after 2hrs waiting we rang he said come collect it! When my daughter arrived he was rude to her said it’ll be another 30 mins, now being 3hrs! He said go somewhere else if you’re not happy. He surely should have been very apologetic not greedy taking too many orders he can’t cope with! The pizza’s from there have always been nice, the reason we went there! Sadly he cares more for his pocket than loyal customers, will never part with my money with them again! I’d suggest order the day before or maybe a week! Not a nice owner.."

"The pub was recommended to us by Carl who runs Driftwood luxury glamping and the Dale abbey cattery. I have to say from the outside I would have driven past but Carl knows his stuff. The staff were friendly, efficient, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. There were five of us and we all ordered something different and we were all raving about the quality. My daughter lives in Derby and I will certainly be recommending this place to her. We are booking to stay at Driftwood again next year and this will be somewhere we will make a beeline too. Great staff, great food. What more can you ask for!"

"As first time visitors on the occasion of my wife's birthday we didn't know what to expect at the Lotus Lounge. We didn't realise that on Fridays and Saturdays they have an all you can eat menu and to make things easy that is what we went for. The bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc was quite passable and went nicely with the food. The menu says that for a table of two to choose 3 starters. The waitress urged us to choose a 4th which we did. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was delicious, the prawn toast the best that I have had in England, the ribs were also very good. Unfortunately by the time that we got around to the crispy duck it was a little cool but still nice. I don't know how some of the customers can manage to go through the starters two or three times but they do. The service was attentive without being in your face and when the main courses came along they were also of good quality and taste. Pity that they were out of Lychees though as they are one of my favourites with ice cream. A very nice meal all around. My wife did say that it wasn't as posh as she'd expected? but she was well satisfied with the food and service."

"We had a lovely meal, meeting up with family, the starters were scallops black pudding on minted pea puree. Homemade fish cake, calamari soup all plates were cleaned! The rump of lamb with dauphinois potatoes was lovely, with a rich gravy fresh seasonal veg, cooked to perfection! Others had the special fillet, scampi belly pork. Puddings were lemon tart, chocolate fudge cake strawberry Prosecco cheesecake followed by coffees teas. Well worth a visit. The a la cart menu was much better than the menu on the website. The service was good staff friendly even though it was a busy Friday night"
