"We held our wedding in Blairscove house in July 2023. We live abroad and only got to see the venue the day before our wedding. Ann, Woody and all the staff were amazing. Set in the idyllic picturesque countryside of West Cork, the drive up to the house saw the start of a magical stay. Breath taking views, beautiful old buildings restored to a high standard. This old country house and piggery is family run. And while there is a great attention to detail and very friendly professional staff the atmosphere feels very relaxed and comfortable. The food was delicious and the buffet starters and desserts (which are to die for) meant we could sample everything. Finest quality ingredients and we could really feel the passion. The apartments with beautiful views are just gorgeous too, with great showers and the fluffiest white towels I have ever seen. In the bathrooms we also had local handmade soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. The coffee sherry and homemade biscuits just add another element of attention. From start to finish our experience was top notch and we leave with only positive feelings."

"We stayed in a pod and it was wonderful! Text communication was excellent through WhatsApp. The answers to the questions were quick and accurate. The capsule was beautiful with enough sleep and moving through space for us. It all worked. We had wifi. The grounds are beautiful to walk. The view is wonderful. There were even wild flowers still in bloom in November! If we ever return to the area we will definitely find the availability of a capsule. We stayed in a capsule and it was wonderful! Text communication was excellent through WhatsApp. The answers to the questions were quick and accurate. The capsule was beautiful with enough space to sleep and move for us. It all worked. We had wifi. The gardens are beautiful to walk. The view is wonderful. There were even wild flowers still in bloom in November! "I ordered the only vegan option on the menu. It is a fish restaurant so I wasn’t expecting much. However, even though this was lacked vegan, the side of vegetables was covered in butter and no one told me until I tasted it half was through. The staff didn’t really seem to connect this together and see the problem. No apologies even though I told them I have a mild intolerance."

"A very copious fish and chips and a pint of beer and especially the Irish live music session: exceptional, 5 musicians, no sono, the music is covered by the sound of the pub, it is authentic 100% Irish, especially when they all resume chorus. It's deep Ireland."

"Decided to do an impromptu camping trip along the wild Atlantic way decided to camp in Glengarriff along our travels, after an ordeal pitching our tent we didn’t feel like cooking our own meal for dinner so we went into Glengarriff town and stopped at the Lough Avoul inn. My partner had the the prawn curry and I had the monkfish goujons. In a short summary the dinners were delicious, the staff are sound people and the Guinness is exactly what you want."
