"Outside the restaurant, there were a lot of other diners already waiting for their queue number to be called so the QR Code for the e queue was quickly scanned to get a queue number. After a wait of almost 40 mins, our queue number was called we were soon shown to our table. The first dish to arrive is the Xiao Long Bao which was always tasty yummy, with the biggest challenge being to pick them up without breaking the skin losing the succulent stock within. The Steamed Shrimp Pork Dumplings are similar to the Xiao Long Bao in that they too had stock within but were shaped differently. Loved these Dumplings as they had the additional flavour texture of prawns within. The Stir fried Dou Miao with Shredded Pork was fried to the right flavour consistency, while the shredded pork helped to enhance the flavour of the dish. The Original Shanghainese Drunken Chicken was smooth tender. It had the flavour of Hua Tiao rice wine would go really well by itself or with rice. The Fried Rice with Pork Chop and Eggs was great but the Pork Chop itself tasted like it had been fried in old oil with burnt pieces, resulting in it tasting burnt even though it wasn't. The Crispy Golden Prawn Pancake was a simple pancake made with beancurd skin filled with prawns within. Alas, this dish was the disappointment of the evening as it was over fried was too oily Ended the night with 2 desserts. A serving of Almond Pudding covered with Black Sesame Dressing was a good mix of 2 differing flavours that paired well with each other. Only problem is the serving is way too small. The second dessert was the Steamed Chinese Style Layered Cakes. This cake had layers of Steamed Sugar Cakes where one could peel them off layer by layer to enjoy. It was yummy but once again, too small a serving for the price. General Verdict: Taiwanese style casual dining that served up wonderful cuisines at reasonable pricing Opening Hours: Monday Thursday 11:30am 9pm Friday 11:30am 9:30pm Saturday 11am 9:30pm Sunday 11am 9pm Queue Situation: Expect to wait 30mins to 50mins, e queue only, no reservations Price: SG$20 upwards per person Payment Mode: Cash all Major Credit Cards (Physical Paywave) Items Ordered: 1) Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao 10 pieces serving Description: The Xiao Long Bao is always tasty yummy, with the biggest challenge being picking them up without breaking the skin losing the succulent stock within Verdict: Very Good, Must Order Price: SG$10.30 2) Steamed Shrimp Pork Dumplings 10 pieces serving Description: Similar to the Xiao Long Bao in that they too had stock within but were shaped differently. "A restaurant that I visited during my non-veg days, I am glad that there is a Veg menu! this restaurant has many other two, but my rating is still valid for other cans. the personal was friendly, the loading decoration was great and the eating was good! has a separate vegetarian menu. Clearly characterized which dishes contain milk and eggs. I ordered: 1. steam vegetarian dump (6pc) $9.50 (vegan) beautiful made dumplings w tasteful, juicy filling. love it! Don't forget to couple with the ingwer and edgy. 2. rühr-fried doumiao $12.80 (vegan) take note to inform the personal they want to the vegetarian version. there is another exact plate in the regular menu and they use meat stock. my favorite Veg court! depends on the season on the quality of the sweet itself. most delicious! part is good! 3. brewed beancurd cube with honey sauce $5.50 (vegetarian, contains honey) an amazing and underestimated court. if they don't mind eating honey! 4. roasted rice with sweet $8 (sweet,) although it is only rice and sweet, it is extremely tasteful! can be oily. sprinkle with a little black pfeffer to create the taste. the egg version is also delicious when they are vegetarian. 5. steam yam xiao long bao (6pc) $8 a dessert dish. although I marked a recommended plate, I would say its mediocre. still, it is a complicated well made dish that I enjoyed. overall it is a great place! only floor is the price and also they do not serve veg dishes that can turn on"

"Even though this is a meat lover's heaven, the chefs are thoughtful to offer 4 vegan mains. I had the Japanese pumpkin as it's not the usual pasta or salad options. Nicely baked till the skin is also crispy and edible, like a cookie. The Cashew cream makes this a very lovely dish."

"As a prawn noodle lover, decided to try the '火城大虾面 '. The soup is indeed robust and flavourful. The noodle is yummy with the tasty chilli paste. However, the pork rib is a bit tough, with mild favour. The prawns are ok. In terms of eating experience, it is quite a pain to try de-shell the prawn with the filmsy delicate disposable spoon and chop stick. For $7.50, one would expect at least some decent cutlery. For prawn soup lover, it is still recommended."

"This shop has been around for ages and there's also a more premium dining restaurant from the same owner. There are many options and most of it is tasty and worth a try. I personally enjoy their bee hoon and laksa. The staff up to the lady bosses are generally friendly and nice. It could be slightly more affordable considering the location but they have a big name and prices have steadily risen over the years."
