"Every aspect of every dish was hand prepared, with well thought out flavours and presentation! We arrived over the holidays during the ice storm and wandered down from Hot Springs Resort to get there. Were very well taken care of by our hostess, chef and male helper. If only the Hot Springs could do this we would come back more and eat in more"

"Stayed here for the weekend and had a nice dinner at the Copper Room. The entertainment from The Jones Boys is as good as ever! I wish they didn't change their dress code and kept it as a formal dining restaurant as I find dressing up to be part of the experience of the evening. My husband and I started off with the beef carpaccio appetizer which was excellent. We then had filet mignon which was average although the sides were very good. Creme brûlée for dessert which was a nice way to end the meal. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful and gave us quality service."

"As a celiac person, I found the options in Harrison Hot Springs to be pretty limited. So when someone in one of my celiac groups on Facebook recommended Black Forest to me I thought we'd give it a shot. I'm the only one in my group who is celiac. They had an adequate kids menu so that's always a bonus. They said they could make any of their schnitzels gluten free and our waiter seemed fairly knowledgable about the menu. We went for the early bird (before 6:00) menu which was limited but more reasonably priced. I had the Vienna schnitzel but paid a surcharge for GF and a surcharge to have chicken instead of pork. It came with some "pan fried" potatoes, steamed vegetables, and some sort of cabbage slaw. The Vienna was just a basic preparation though and was fairly tasteless. The potatoes were okay but I always think of pan fried potatoes as sort of crispy and these were a bit soggy and very heavily flavoured of onions. The steamed veggies were BARELY cooked. And honestly, I'd rather have them on the undercooked side than the over cooked side but they were basically raw and warmed up a tiny bit. The slaw was NOT GOOD. It was like a cabbage jam almost. Very sweet and slimy. Not my palate at all. Others in my party also had the Vienna schnitzel and the Bavarian meatloaf. We all ordered from the early bird menu and I'm glad we only paid in the $15 range for our meals rather than the $25 range from the regular menu as I would have felt pretty put off by paying that much for what we got. The service was great, the food was adequate and I didn't get sick. But I can't say I'd go back again. To be fair, German food has never been a favourite of mine and if you wanted to order off the regular menu, there were lots of other options that looked like they might be more flavourful, but I probably won't give it another chance."

"We used to be regular guests when we used to live close to the Canadian border. We used to enjoyed and love that place. We were so happy that we were able to get back and enjoy the beautiful resort for my birthday. I had the most sad experience in the bar. I ordered a salad and it was very good, when I have eaten like 1/2 of i I founded a black, long and straight hair in my plate. By the way, my hair is blond and curly and my husband’s hair is very short. I called our female waiter (she had a long black hair ponytail, blue eyes and she said she is been working there for like 20 something years, her name is Susan) to show her the hair in the plate. The most rude comment from her was: “maybe is yours..”ICouldn’t believe what she said…At that moment I should’ve asked for the manager but I didn’t want to make a bigger deal and finish my birthday with a bitter taste on my mouth.I’m a person that ALWAYS write good reviews but this was very bad..I wish I could put 5 stars but with that kind of service of that waiter I can’t."
