"Wir haben uns das Canvetto Federale ausgesucht, weil es ich in der Nähe unseres Hotels befindet und die Bewertungen in Tripadvisor sehr gut waren. An einem Sonntagabend war das Grotto zwar nicht voll, aber gut besucht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und der Aperitivo stand schnell auf dem Tisch. Wir haben uns für den Branzino al sale (Seebarsch in der Salzkruste) entschieden, der nur für zwei Personen erhältlich ist. Als Vorspeise hatten wir einen Gazpacho andaluz mit Garnelen. Die Suppe war von bester Konsistenz und leicht pikant gewürzt, der Fisch - am Tisch filetiert - war perfekt zubereitet und wurde mit Kartoffeln, Karotten, Zucchini und Spinat serviert. Die Weinempfehlung des freundlichen Kellners, eine Cuvée von Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco und Merlot von Tamborini passte hervorragend zum Fisch. Für ein Dessert war in unseren Mägen dann aber leider kein Platz mehr!Gerne wieder!"

"We had the set menu the first night and a la carte the next. Both evenings the food was delicious. The view from the window seats is gorgeous especially as darkness falls and the lights over the lake come on. The service was wonderful - you certainly felt special. The courses were plentiful and there was no hurry at any point during the meal - the first night we were there 2 and a half hours! Against - well the portions are small and although the food is excellent it is expensive. The fact we went twice however says it all!!"

"We did a take-away from them. The pizza's were served in pizza boxes with an aluminum lining, which ensured the short cold walk back to our hotel the pizza's remained hot. Each slice of pizza of our gamberi e rucola had at least a prawn on it, and had good taste. The quattro stagioni wasn't totally equeally for each part of the pizza with topping, but tasted also very good. Happily to get a take away from them again when in Lugano"

"A satisfying place for a meal will have great food here and it usually does not cost excess amount. A good selection of dishes on the menu, often has many meals to add out and new dishes from the chefs all the time. My brother and I showed up here for his graduation and were pleased that there were many great tables we showed up from. Kellner understood the menu inside out, very impressed. Wonderful food, many options, would certainly recommend."

"For someone like me living from Sushi, a beautiful find. good quality fast service and always fresh. but very expensive for the portion sizes. its one and out place not many places to sit, the service is very...fast and the staff very friendly. if you feel like sushi his probably the best in lugano. But that said it can't go anywhere too often, as I think the costs are a bit high. I'd lower every plate 4-6 francs, then go a lot more. for now its 1 or 2 a month thing no longer unfortunately."
