"Tea republic is one of my favorite dining out place when our office is still a few steps away from pacific star -both because of the convenientness and the eating that I order in the rule pasta here, as I find their sandwiches had too much brot in comparison to the actual filling. I've already tasted their lasagne and pasta with garnels. both were good - the lasagne was cheesy, and the latter was spicy that I loved their desserts are also quite good. I have tasted the mango torte and this soft, chewing keks served with vanillaeis they also serve really good ice cream. my top selection is the berry passion tea--very fruity and quite refreshing"

"Ordered:

Mantou bread - this is my favorite place for mantou bread. Just wish it was bigger.

Corn soup - it's okay. Had blobs of oil on the top when it was served.

Ceral prawns - wish the shrimp was bigger. It was finished in 4 bites and left me hungry still.

Steamed dory - tastes plain and clean, just the way I like it. Comes with tofu underneath. Order this if you're being health conscious.
"

"We definitely come for the unlimited Wagyu and other offerings. My personal favorite are the prawns and scallops. They serve everything frozen and you have 90 minutes to order and cook everything.

*Pro tip. Ask one of the staff to do the cooking and fanning for you (yes. You need to fan the coals for faster cooking). But be ready to tip the staff. I give 200 pesos. It's not so bad considering the time you save and of course, you get to really enjoy your meal.

And since the staff serving us doesn't leave our table (except for our usual order runs), I had a chance to ask them about the ingredients. The Wagyu is grounded meat, frozen, and cut into square shapes (I know right? But still delicious nonetheless). The prawns and other seafood are also flown in frozen from Japan. I can't get my mind off why the prawn taste different from what we usually buy from the market. It's definitely sweeter and tastier without any sauce. My partner told me that in Japan the fishing boats are more advanced and they have a freezer to instantly freeze the seafood after catching it thus preserving the freshness. I don't know how true but his face was very serious. Also, their prawns are seasonal.

"

"I bought a buy one take one discount voucher for Tony Roma's rib dish a few weeks back and went to have lunch together with my daughter there yesterday. The meal comes with coleslaw & choice of 1 side dish. We chose corn & fries for ours.

Quantity : It is a 10 bones minimum ribs so it is enough for a very hungry man.

Quality & Taste : The meat is fall-off-the-bone tender except for some overcooked outer parts. The BBQ flavor is just right. You need to eat the inner parts of the meat together with the outer if you want the BBQ flavor since the inner parts were devoid of any flavoring. The corn was ok but would have preferred the ones with kernels that has softer and thinner skins/outer layer. The fries were ok too but my daughter and I noticed that some pieces tasted better than others. Some pieces may have come in contact with some meat or meat flavored oil. It would have been better if all the pieces were flavored.

Price & Overall : The price was 1380 and it is a good deal if you like ribs. The upper level of the restaurant feels less cramped and is also where the rest rooms are located. I was glad we chose to be seated there. Overall rating is above average."

"The concept of Trufa Pasta Bar is ingenious - it offers creativity for brave millennials who are dizzy to try something new. It gives you an alternative to cooking your own food; You can mix and match over a hundred combinations of pastas, sauces, and add-ons.

Of those we've tried, I highly recommend trying Trufa (for La Salsa), Farfalle (for La Pasta), and Panceta and Gambas (for La Alegria) together. The taste and creaminess of the truffle sauce matched perfectly with the taste of their Spanish prawns and panceta. You'll be surprised how you finish the entire serving in just a few minutes! Other dishes I liked were the Huevos Estrellados and Las Fritas. Their Huevos Estrellados (french fries with ground beef and egg) tasted so good together. For me, the strong flavoring of the beef offset the neutral taste of the starch. The las fritas was simple but very addicting.

What I really liked about this place was that their pastas were all al dente (note: I don't speak of al dente by chance, it's al dente by profession). According to the owner, they use quality ingredients that they source directly from their own suppliers to ensure it's the freshest it can get. It gets the quality you deserve for the price you pay. There is also this summer special, Menu Del Dia - for only Php 350+ you get a salad, pasta and smoothie. On a stressful day at work, watch out for lunch.

I find the place very cozy and relaxed. The best way to enjoy the scorching hot weather in Manila is to have their pastas with their cold drinks (like El Sol and La Playa, which are both equally tasty) or to pair them with their affordable glasses of wine. The staff and the owner are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come back to this place when I am craving good noodles! ❤️"

"I love Shabu Shabu so my husband usually pampers me when I have the urge. At first we ignore Thousand Cranes because we think it is expensive as we are more used to having Shabu Shabu buffet style than a la carte.

So we tried Thousand Crane once in Greenbelt and kept coming back here.

Ordering a single platter is supposed to be good for one person, but while my husband and I have big appetites, one order is more than enough for us. Our favorite is the seafood platter. The platter contains shrimp, sea cucumber, squid / fish balls, oysters, fish fillet, 2 types of noodles and vegetables.

We usually order their sashimi (tuna for me and salmon for my husband) too. Each order contains 8 slices of sashimi."

"It is the second time we visited this place. The café-restaurant is well-designed from its cozy chairs to interesting fixtures. It is Instagram-worthy.

Food, Price, Recommendation

Compared to our previous visit, which also happened to be their soft-opening, we noticed that there had been price increases. Some new items were added to the menu.

The Rabbit Hole offers typical Filipino and Asian cuisine, as well as cakes, breads, sandwiches, coffee, shakes, soup, salads, and even beer worth P50 to P650. Breads are sold at 50 percent off before closing time.

If you want to bring in your friends and family, they also offer group meals called The Rabbit Crew. They have three choices, Chicken Basket (P480), Filipino Favorites (P550), Crispy Pata Platter (P650) all good for four people.

On our first visit, we tried their squash soup called My Pumpkin (P95 –old price),Pork Sisig with rice (P130 –old price), and Creamy Beef Casserole (P195 –old prices). Their squash soup was a little bit too thick and overcooked, while their sisig was not extraordinary. However, we were in for a treat when we tried their beef casserole, which we found scrumptious.

Heads up though, The Rabbit Hole is generous with their serving of rice. Even the beef casserole is served with rice.

The squash soup had a better consistency and lighter color than our previous try. It lacked a bit of salt so the flavors were not elevated enough.

The same is true with their Korean Beef with Kimchi Rice. The spiciness of the rice overpowers the other flavors. We are guessing they added more Gochujang to add color to the rice. But for us, more kimchi, less spicy. The rice was a little bit dry too.

Their Fish Parmigiana, on the other hand, was really good. They used dory fish which was well-seasoned as the blandness of the tomato sauce complements well with the saltiness of the fish breading. It was The Eatventurers' favorite.

Since they also offer Carmen's Best ice cream in small cup, we also tried it for only P120.

True to their welcome message, The Rabbit Hole made sure that great food and good friends complement.

Full post at www.eatventurers.com. The Eatventurers

eatventurers.com"

"Been here twice, and I couldn't say anything else but food is great.
Better service compare to the services of Ortigas Branch.
Just make sure that you will read the menu and don't just rely on the order taker.
Why? We went there for birthday lunch. So we asked what were the foods for sharing because we were a group of 15.
One particular lady order taker told us that all food for sharing doesn't have rice.
Without glancing at the menu, we asked here what were her recommendations.
She recommended Jambalaya which was for sharing, we ordered 3 of that.
And so we ordered that and chicken and some other stuff.
Together with the other viands, we ordered 16 rice.
And when the Jambalayas were served, we requested to lessen the ordered rice from 16 to 8. Obviously, we didn't know what Jambalaya was until then. And the order taker did not even care to inform us when she knew that we are overloaded with rice already. And what pissed us off? they don't wanna cancel the... read more"

"They open at 11:30 am but the sign was still closed when I got there exactly at 11:30 am so I waited outside the entrance of the restaurant. I thought maybe there was an emergency so they were still closed, or maybe my watch was running too fast. Then a Japanese customer came and the staff let him in. I thought he was the owner so they let him in. 5 minutes passed and the sign still closed. So I tried and knocked on the door and asked if they are open. Then they switched the sign to open. As I walked into the restaurant I could see the staff were still cleaning and arranging some tables. I also saw 4 customers who were already seated. I honestly don't know if "certain people" should enter the restaurant first, but it looks like they do.

Getting the waitress noticed was a headache. There were 3-4 employees literally less than 6 steps away from me, but they were busy with who knows what. Fortunately, one of the kitchens is ... read more "

"Yes! I give a five!

I visited the UCC Viena Café in Greenbelt because: (1) they serve really good food and (2) their people are reliable and always accommodating.

The one in the picture is one of the variants of their Omurice. I am not a fan of curry. I would avoid curry as much as possible. But it was hard to say no to this one when shrimp, mushrooms, salmon, and omurice kept calling for my taste buds.

My personal favorite, however, is the spaghetti and seafood soup paired with one of their sandwiches (which are all equally appealing to me). Maybe I'm just biased because I love seafood, but I think I'm fair and honest when I say it's really great! You should definitely try this! I'll take a photo next time (I always forget because all I can think of when I order this is devour it ????)

On the pricing side, be clear if you are on a budget. You have been warned. :) :)"
