"If you go early in the evening, this is an awesome place to eat. On weekend nights though, it turns into a crowded college bar, and pretty much excludes any kind of decent dining experience. During the week, and early evening on weekends, you won't find better food in the town of Olds. It should have been a restaurant instead of a bar, because they've mastered the art of short order cooking here."

"I grew up eating at this location all of my life when it was Lotus Gardens. After I got married and moved away I I happened to be passing through Olds one day with a date, so I suggested we stop for dinner at Lotus Gardens, only to discover that they had closed down years ago. Very hesitantly we decided to give these new owners a try. I'm so happy we did! I consider myself a Chinese food snob and I must say that the meals we were served was probably the best Chinese food I've"

"When I went up to the counter to place, my order the first thing I said was that I didn’t want cold sushi from the fridge. I said I want it to be made fresh because I don’t like cold sushi from the fridge. And I ordered the special and asked if I could have noodle instead of rice, and he said yes. When I went to pay, there was an additional one dollar fee and I said what is this for and he said that is for the noodle instead of the rice. A whole lot, more money to make noodles than it does to make rice. I was upset because I hadn’t noticed that additional fee he would not have told me that. Then, on top of it after I paid when I got my meal, the sushi was cold and dried out from being in the fridge. I was ready to throw it at him. When I asked him about it, he said they have regulations, and that it Has to be in the fridge. I said it Has to be in the fridge if you don’t make it fresh and I specifically asked you to not serve me sushi that had been in the fridge. He didn’t offer to remake it, or give me anything different. I will never ever eat at Edo from Olds Alberta again."
