"We visited here as it was within 2 minutes driving distance from where we were staying at the IBIS in Poitiers Beaulieu. It is within 10 minutes on foot so very convenient for people staying at the hotel. The restaurant specialises in seafood, particularly mussels....We had a selection of fish in batter to start which I have to say were beautiful. We then ordered the fish in batter and chips for the main and the king prawns plate with rice. The dishes were beautifully presented and the fish in batter was extremely light, the prawns were cooked in garlic and were very tasty. These came with boiled rice and green beans. For desert I would highly recommend the waffle with chocolate sauce and ice cream. The waffles were so light and very moorish, you could have eaten two. The service at Leon De Bruxelles was impeccable, the waitresses are rushed off their feet serving food but they are extremely friendly and helpful and make time for you. They definitely deserve a big tip, thank you for a beautiful meal, we leave Poitiers very happy :"

"After the shock of being accosted whilst reading the menu out side by the manager we enjoyed the lunch menu today. The Brittany fish soup was excellent and our three different main dishes bought sounds of delight and satisfaction from us all."

"A group of 7 decided to give this restaurant a try having already had 2 excellent meals on the previous evenings. Although the restaurant is small they made room for us and provided menus in English for those who wanted them. The menu was varied and the food was first class. I had the Fois Gras to start and the chicken as a main; both were superb. Others had the carpaccio, smoked salmon or baked Brie to start followed by beef encroute, rack of lamb, the house salad all of which were great.The waitress was very nice and our food was served promptly. This was the best of three restaurants that we visited during our short stay, well worth a visit."

"We visited Gambas Royale for lunch in July 2017 with friends who live near Poitiers. I have to admit it was better than I was expecting. The restaurant was very clean: the food fresh and the staff very attentive. Most of all, it was very cheap for the quality and quantity. While this Chinese concept isn't new: Gambas Royale does it very well."
