"The Beerhouse had an interesting assortment of ciders and ales and an inviting atmosphere. The staff was super friendly even when their cash machine went down. Will be returning for beer and pizza and won’t fault the technical malfunction."

"Great Classic Pub grub meal last night for my Dads birthday. The greeting was lovely and the staff were friendly throughout. Menu is varied and the Specials board was good. I had the homemade pie which was delicious aswell as the mash and veg. Other choices from our party was Chicken and Chorizo pasta which again was fresh and plentiful. Homemade lasagna and Homemade Hunters Chicken. We also had starters where 2 had the fresh cooked shell on prawns with chilli and garlic and I had the homemade Spicy tomato soup all served with hot baguettes. Will return again"

"This is the only Chinese restaurant within this area so when we moved into a nearby village recently and didn't fancy cooking this was our ONLY option. Given that I only really have noodles (chow mein) I was quite pleasantly surprised that they tasted pretty good."

"I've been meaning to write about Voujon for a while as it's a fantastic and authentic Indian restaurant in the heart of Bury St. Edmunds that I've been to and had takeaway from a few times now. The four of us are big on sharing and naturally skipped lunch so we could immerse ourselves in their fantastic range of food. We had poppadoms, starters and mains and every single part of it was top quality and bursting with flavour. I'm a massive spice fan but unfortunately the pathia I ordered (the hottest dish we ordered) turned out to be the most popular, I should've known! My point is even my wife who rarely goes near anything spicier than a rogan josh was tucking in to it, because it was THAT good! Afterwards I mentioned to the waiter how much we appreciated the food and he was genuinely touched and we had a nice chat with him about the restaurant and the history of it. The price was roughly £30 a head and that included wine and sides, so phenomenal value in our view for what we had. Despite being stuffed we were all craving more of it and the day after we were debating whether or not we should go again! Loved the whole experience"
