"Four of us attended for a meal before a show. Convenient location and kitchen opened at 5:00pm.The surroundings were drab. (You can have a heritage environment and still be welcoming). The food was just on a par with a roadhouse on a backroad.We decided to share 2 bruscettas. We were presented with four snall burnt bits of bread swimming in a pool of oil and minutely diced tomatoes which appeared to be straight out of a tin.Mains ...2 Scoth fillet steaks had zero traces of marbling / fat and, thus no flavour. The medium and rare both showed the right amount of "pinkness" but were extremely firm and a blindfold test would have you guessing as to the item being chewed.A special of the evening was called a Chicken Kiev / Risotto dish. Unfortunately, the name was the only resemblance to "Kiev". Rather than the expected seasoned rolled cutlet we were subjected to an overcooked Maryland. The (approximate) 1/4 cup of risotto was nondescript.By this time we were not going to chance a desert. Just as well - they don't serve deserts.A VERY disappointing experience, never to be repeated."
