"Our favorite place with a variety of menu choices. The only restaurant I've found that has fried oysters on the menu! We like to go mid afternoon since you get more than enough food to skip dinner and have leftovers for the next day. We'll be returning soon."

"If they have seen this place on the side of the road, they may perhaps pass, not. despite the old fashion, shot and a beer, outside, the rustic good eating serves in a friendly atmosphere. clientele was raised mix of native, well dressed after the work and a few college couples. I ate at the bar and the bartender was friendly, knowledgeable and proud of the farewell. I took his suggestion on the garnelenfest, a plentiful and essential mixture of a clove of garnel, cocosnus, panko butterflied and garnel over fattyuccine alfredo. the fatty succinni, panko and cocosn nuts steamed hot and perfectly boiled - I skipped the hot chili pina colada sauce as too sweet though. the spits had cooled down and slightly hardened, but that could be my fault, I ate them last. the woofer rings were plentiful, hot and crispy. my other side was a salate. beer was cold, but the fittings seemed limited. price and good value. I would recommend and definitely try other dishes"

"Haven't been to Skips in so long, so we decided to stop by today for lunch. It was packed, but we got seated right away. I have never been here during the day and it is still rather dim in there, at night it is rather dark. We ordered the Steak sandwich and Chicken jalapeno pasta. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it and I also ordered the side salad with their house made balsamic vinaigrette. Their balsamic vinaigrette is what started me on vinaigrettes and a good one is hard to find. The chicken jalapeno pasta was good, but the taste reminded me of vegetable cream cheese spread. It might just be me. We went during lunch, and they were busy, but it seemed like everything took a really long time. We were there for an hour and a half and ended up having them pack our dessert to go, as it was more than 10 minutes and we still hadn't received it."

"At the end of a road trip in carlisle for a night on the road. had a great server, danielle, and that was fantastic swash rings, steak sub, and pulled pork and cheese. the only disappointment was that the bartender could not know very about the beer on the hahn that was unusual for a pub!"

"Everything is excellent! Only visited twice so far but plan to return many more times. Vicki and Pamela are wonderful. Food is superb. Price is good. Parking is good. Zero complaints. You need to stop here if you’re thinking about enjoying a good meal somewhere. You won’t regret it. Update: Aug 6, 2019: Sadly, the Carriage House Tavern has been closed down. It was a great place and I’m not sure why they closed, but they are going to be missed by many! God bless you Vicki and Pamela, whatever you’re doing, wherever you are!"
