"Just stopped in on our way back to Ontario for lunch. What an absolutely charming establishment! We ate lunch on the terasse (patio), and started off with two Bloody Caesar’s which were well made. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious (big fat shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce) as was the tomato bocconcini salad. I ordered the fish chips for a main and my husband ordered the butterfly shrimp plate. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The batter on my fish was the best I’ve ever had, so light with the perfect crispness, with homemade tartar sauce and the fries are definitely cut in-house too. My husbands butterfly shrimp were cooked to perfection. Sitting in that garden-style patio on a beautiful day had us feeling like we were somewhere on a romantic vacation. Keep doing what you’re doing Mon Village! We’ll be back!"

"A Hudson WINNER!!!!!!. This place is TERRIFIC!! I've already been here five times and can't stop raving about this wonderful Hudson addition. Although it's slated to be a BBQ restaurant (and delicious and authentic dishes there are) the menu is so varied and interesting. There are a lot of other really great choices on the menu for not barbeque lovers or even vegetarians. My friends aren't meat eaters but raved about the Memphis catfish and the stuffed peppers. I have had the St. Louis ribs which were outstanding as well as the brisket, chicken cutlets and meatloaf which were equally yummy. The appetizers are great--the loaded fries, mac and cheese balls, deviled eggs and wings are all really tasty and the deserts, my favorites being the warm apple crisp, the red velvet cupcakes and the Kentucky Derby pie are so sinfully delicious! The ambiance is outstanding--the decor is beautiful, the bar is so inviting and the drafts are truly ice cold as advertised. The upstairs dining room is so intimate and the vibe filling this place really rocks. This place isa real star on the Hudson map!!"

"Hostess issue in seating we arrived with a handicapped person and we were walked to the end of building. We had a reservation and requested seating near the fireplace instead the employee walked my seriously handicapped friend to the end of the room. I was parking the car. When I came in we got moved. I feel like the hostess/waitress should have been more intuitive to my friends' needs."

"Very nice dining experience. The food was very good, serving sizes were normal or on the large size, depending on item. The night we visited, they were near full capacity even after regular dinner hours. The servers and management were cheerful, helpful, and very attentive.They had no problem dealing with a family of 5 and a toddler, even with a couple minor mishaps from our excited grandchild. Nothing ordered was incorrect. The only criticism was that the price of items was not readily discerned on the menu. The prices on the final bill were quite reasonable, but i like to know how much I'm spending upfront. That minor issue aside, i would definitely visit again, and would highly recommend them to others. As for the rating, my 4 star equates to most people's 5 stars. Getting full ratings means that i can't nitpick ANYTHING about a place. The price on menu is the only detraction i found. If you're in the area, stop in for a bite."
