"My boyfriend and I have this goal to go to a restaurant that offers a tasting menu on each trip we go on! Le Fantome was our choice when we went to Montreal, and we enjoyed it very much.It was a bit pricey but it was a great experience. The food was very good! and the wine pairing was even better!The service was good too, I completely forgot the names of the guy and the girl assisting us (it's been more than a month that we went there), but I remember both of them were super nice and attentive! The hostess didn't look that happy to be there, though. The decor is very nice. The place is cozy, and I loved the candles! I think they reuse them. Awesome.Le Fantome was about a block away from where we were staying, so that was a plus! No need to spend money on uber when a bit tipsy =P Definitely recommend."

"SAKEO was one of the first eateries where I tried sushi and I have become a monthly patron. There are other dishes on the menu, however, more often than not, we end up having sushi. Our first course is always something called "le rouleau mexican", (Mexican roll) strangely enough. Then we order other delicacies which we always enjoy. This establishment boasts a "bring-your-own-wine" policy which renders your dining experience very reasonably priced. When you become a regular, the owner (a charming lady) greets you warmly and sometimes even offers you a free pot of tea and dessert!Reservations are highly recommended, especially during the weekends. Lately, we've been going during the week, and we find the atmosphere much calmer since groups of 4-6 often dine Friday and Saturday evenings which can make for a rather noisy ambiance. During the academic year, college and university students make up a big part of the clientele. So, if you're a couple looking for a quiet evening, go during the week like we do, or go before 7:30 p.m."
