"ABiergarten is a great concept with pour-your-own beers and a lovely little menu. We went for Sunday evening Happy Hour and the beers were half price! The place was empty--as in we were the ONLY guests--probably because it is inside a hotel and there is NO sign for the restaurant. We passed it several times on foot before going inside and asking about it. What a shame! They have many delicious beers to pour, most of which were warm. When I let our bartender know, he checked and let me know they were right at the the temp they were supposed to be. I forget now what that was, but my dining companion and I supposed them to be around 50 degrees--nowhere near the temp his state of the art cooler said they were. I politely suggested he pour one to try and he laughed. Um, okay. My dining partner was peckish, so he ordered the spicy guac appetizer. Good thing I wasn 't hungry because it was wayyyy too spicy for me. He enjoyed it, though. The service was good, overall, the only weird thing was that after the check came, I put a $20 in our bill folder (sticking out clearly--bill was $10 and change). The server walked past it about 5 times in the next 20 minutes. He then came by and chatted a minute and asked if we needed anything else. I said No, I think we 're good, and patted the bill folder with the money in it. He said ok and walked away, leaving the money and bill untouched. So we followed him to the bar and gave it to him and he asked did we want change? Pretty tacky under any circumstances. Additionally, they never got me checked in on Open Table and I had to e-mail to follow up. I would go back, but they have some work to do to get it together--especially since we were the only people in the place."
