"Arrived for dinner to be pleasantly surprised that kids eat free Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Went to the counter to order was was greated by the most lovely staff member who was courteous, welcoming and professional. The restaurant was nearly full but we received our garlic pizza within 10 minutes of ordering. The kids meals came next and I was very impressed that the staff had taken the initiative not to serve small children food hot enough to burn them. The meals had cooled enough to be safe to eat but still fresh. Both the chicken nuggets and kids fish were fresh and real meat, not processed. This seems to be one of the few venues that provides children with salad not just chips. I was impressed they humoured me when I was convinced my children might eat something healthy with dinner. Our meals came quickly and were impressive. The beef schnitzel was tender and well cooked and the mushroom sauce was much nicer then I've had at other venues recently. My husbands meal was well cooked and he enjoyed it. The Carlyle has really improved over the last 12 months and we will certainly be returning. The value for money was fantastic with dinner for 2 adults and 2 children including drinks being under $65."
