"One of my favorite places on the Crystal Palace triangle are the ribs just delicious. this place is closely connected to the restaurant next door, the crystal palace market, but it has another menu and opening times. the menu has mainly ripen, burger and chicken, and so far I had only the ripening in my few visit there (although I tried one bit of the half-when and it was so lemony and succulent.) as the picture shows, it is a huge part and the BBQ sauce is perfection, especially when chips are immersed in it. the decor is tasteful and atmospheric, and the service is good (although on a visit it was strangely slow, it took over half an hour to take away the finished dishes.) overall this is worth when they are in the opposite, even if they are further away, I would say that the ribs are worth a trip."

"I booked a table here for 6 people last weekend for a very quiet and classy surprise hen. I enquired in advance if we can bring in balloons and decorate, and we were told yes, but when we got there the manager was being very difficult and rude telling us we can’t have our tiny banner hanged anywhere. The wall behind us was glass and we were surrounded by pillars which couldn’t have suffered from a piece of paper hanging from them but we weren’t allowed to do so. Funny thing is, there was also a plant next to our table which had a menu tied up hanging from it (a lot heavier than our little banner) and that didn’t seem to be a problem. The entire ordering process was long, and we had to enquire a few times after waiting a long time where were our drinks. It took ages to get anyone’s attention in this place! Also the waiter couldn’t speak proper English and we had a very hard time understanding her when we did get her attention in the end, not to mention she had terrible cigarette breath on her as well which I found very unprofessional. The food was not great either, very basic and poorly cooked by the chefs who were more concerned to stare at us from behind the bar than to actually do their job. I had tacos for starters and they were cold, while the meat inside was chewy and tasteless. To top everything up we had a service charge added to our bill (12% if I remember rightly) which we obviously asked to have it removed as the whole experience was a complete disappointment."
