"I booked in the morning the most in advance for me and my nan after I enjoyed the afternoon at many places before. I have to say this is the best we have done. a lot of simple sandwiches, homemade scenes, crawls and rolls, as well as two pots tee. completely full and with home. a beautiful tasty and great, courteous staff: thank you!"

"Been with friends a few times. Food is never anything less than stunning. Because it 's a traditional (I think Edwardian) pub, the seating is very cosy ... Not recommended if you like privacy or don 't want a stranger 's leg rubbing against yours while you eat! Honestly need to try it, though."

"My wife and I had lunch here today and it was superb. The Staff were excellent, so polite, professional and helpful, what a refreshing change? My wife is suffering from constant back pain and an arthritic knee. The first table that they gave us had seats that made it almost impossible for us to stay. However, even though it was extremely busy, the staff found us an alternative table and did it with a smile.We then had a gorgeous lunch and the service was first class. We will definitely be back."

"Our first time at this great Pub. Nice to find a traditional Sunday roast with fresh vegetables, homemade Yorkshire puddings and proper gravy. In our party we had both the Roast Beef and the roast pork selections, both were excellent. We all cleared our plates and waited a short while before selecting “puddings” from a selection of traditional sweets! I recommend the Jam Rolly polly ! Great value for money and a refreshing change from “Chain” carveries and their frozen vegetables! They are busy so recommend advance booking!"
