"I walked into this establishment with my younger brother who just moved to the area to have a quiet beer on a weekday afternoon . We were greeted by a intimidating guy which I presume was the owner . We got into conversation and said...that we just moved to Midland , he almost refused us service because of where we live . To add insult to injury he said that he usually throws people from Midland through the window or gets into a fight with them . Absolutely outrageously bad service here . We felt intimidated , singled out and judged for no good reason we are hard working young Australians , who were going to support his business through buying a drink at a local bar, never again!"

"I visited this new café at the recently renovated Bassendean shopping centre with my husband. We needed a fairly quick lunch because he works close by and we only had half an hour to order and eat. There is plenty of tables and chairs and the décor is really nice, you can tell it is fairly new. They have a selection of cakes, plus sandwiches, burgers and hot fries. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ordered a chicken Schnitzel burger ($7.50) and a steak burger ($8.50) plus a hot chocolate and a large flat white. The total bill was $25 which we consider very reasonable. Both burgers had heaps of salad. The steak burger had lots of caramelised onions and was very tasty as was the chicken schnitzel. The only criticism is that the schnitzel was a bit too crispy and my husband wished he had ordered the steak. The burger buns were fresh and quite large. Although they got my order wrong and served me a cappuccino instead of a flat white, I wasn't fussed because it was really nice. The hot chocolate was only tepid though. They have Loyalty Cards and the 10th coffee is free. We look forward to returning to this lovely café as it makes a nice change from the sandwich takeaway places nearby that we usually visit."
