"I finally tried to try big’s bbq during the heritage days and I was not disappointed. he started with a pulled pork sandwich in the city. it made me hungry, so I had to check the rest of the joint. my son and I tried the ananas express. the sausage was great, nicer kick. my son usually doesn't like a whistle, but he loved this sandwich. I also tried a few of her breasts and loved the penny scrapper. when I was stationed in Germany and that's when I got my taste for beer, it's great to know that it's a place so close that beer is good enough to rival what I remember. I am looking forward to trying more of their own root beer. big’s bbq, I hope you will be here for a long time. keep it like them and they will need a bigger place."

"This is the place to eat in Mt. Vernon!! I love their smoked pork and brisket....the best I’ve ever had! And the smoked mac and cheese is to die for! Also love that food is local, fresh, and great-tasting specials! The folks waiting on customers, cooking, and serving are so very nice and friendly too! LOVE this place!! I eat there at least once if not twice during the time they are open each week!"
