"On a cold damp February Saturday nite, we decided to go to Resto Projet 57, after a good experience in October during the week. This time we were seated upstairs, where they have multiple big screen televisions and have a small elevated stage which was set up for a singer 'chansonnier'.Chloe, our waitress was polite and efficient, taking our orders promptly and bringing us two imported beers from a small selection of domestic and craft beers. We ordered a Caesar salad w/grilled chicken and a Texan burger plate. Both arrived promptly with the chicken still warm as well as the burger. My only compliment was that the cheese on the Texan burger was thrown onto the patty only after it was taken off the grill! Not appetizing! As we planned to share each of the dishes, we asked for two plates, to which our waitress said there would be an extra sharing cost. I immediately asked to speak to the manager which resolved the issue as she arrived with two plates. The chicken Caesar looked appetizing with all the right ingredients but lacked the complex, sharp taste of garlic, anchovies, lemon and black pepper, and was sprinkled with mozzarella 'rubber' cheese and not the more tasty but expensive parmesan! The burger was very good altho on the small side, but on a nice brioche type bun. The fries were good but unfortunately not blanched and double fried, which is the magic in the best Quebec French fries which are unequaled anywhere in the world. The only real issue was when the singer started his set. While he was actually quite good and the volume was not too loud, it was just too much and distracting. I'm sure not what people want at 7pm on a Saturday evening when out for supper. Looking around, no one was really listening, but rather just talking louder to their friends and table-mates.Overall - nice decor, food was good but not particularly inspired nor complex, but again good. Lose the singer until at least 10pm for a better overall dining experience!Jeff B"
