"The listing said they have milk free gelato at the time when I went there on 7/10/2020 as well as sorbet, but it turned out that only the sorbet is vegan. I was told they never have vegan gelato. I told the woman on the counter that the list is wrong. The business should know what it says and make sure it is accurate. I reported the mistake of happy cow in an update, as the business obviously does not watch. I got Sorbet and my friend got Gelato. I didn't know they would put a spoon in me automatically and I forgot to tell them I had my own reusable spoon. When she put the spoon in my cup, I forgot to tell her. I said I shouldn't be stuck in the cup of my bf and he can use mine. Then she left and gave him one. And claimed she didn't hear me when I told her what I said. She took him out and threw him away so that the spoon was was was wasted what I wanted to avoid. And if she threw one out, she should have taken it out of my business, he had my spoon on it with my sorbet. And since she didn't listen, I could have used her spoon. But their might have been slightly flushed and given to another customer without being careless. I hate them to throw it away when none of us touched it. The sorbet tasted decent, but seemed to be expensive for the regular cup at over $7. Updated by previous review on 2020-07-12"

When in Saratoga and wanting a fuss-free, simple meal, that is without bells and whistles but not simplistic, trashy or greasy, Comfort Kitchen comes to our rescue. Artisanal food, comforting recipes (think fast food cooked slow, with love and with local and top quality ingredients) and fair prices, make this establishment one to be frequented often. Rare is the spot that sells quality food, prepared with mindful care, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, served in a clean attractive space, with an open kitchen, with pleasant service and a quick-service price point. As rare as this is in the industry, it is a misnomer in North Country. Comfort Kitchen would have national reputation and huge following were it in a metropolis with a savvy populace. That it is situated in Saratoga Springs, makes it an oasis of sorts, for it's price point and genre. Peerless Tater Tots (yes, you read correctly) that beg for a new name, most memorably addictive veggie burger, beyond scrumptious burger made with local beef, light and flavorful tacos with meat, fish or veggies, salads and slaws with hearts and souls and a comfortingly haunting s'mores dessert are only a few of the highlights from the ever changing and seasonally focused menu. Charlie and I are huge fans. Comfort Kitchen is what in old English, would be called cheap and cheery. Food that is inexpensive, served with pride, in a handsome setting, and prepared with those comforting cravings in mind that are seldom served with equal amounts of flavor, quality, thoughtfulness and style."
