"Whilst the views from this bar are absolutely breathtaking, the negative attitude and overall demeanour of the host far outweighs any positives. Upon our arrival, the host was not available to seat us. After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, we began walking towards the bar to ask where we should sit. At this point, the host, who we had assumed was another patron as he had been ignoring my party was texting on his phone, approached us asked in an accusatory manner if we needed help. When we asked for a table, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, we were led to the furthest corner of the rooftop were seated beside the kitchen, where the open doors emitted what can only be described as a hellish heat, on an already balmy evening. My husband was looking for the bathroom was approached by the host who gestured to the toilets in an aggressive manner. We waited a further 15 minutes for someone to take our order. When no one had approached us by then, we left the establishment. During our visit to Topo Chiado the host acted as though we were a major inconvenience to him, with an arrogance that was grossly unwarranted. My party had looked forward to visiting Topo Chiado were extremely disappointed by our treatment. I would not recommend a visit."
