"We should have known better with the reputation that Hardware Lane has for being a tourist rip-off but it was cold and wet and we didn't know too many alternatives. After a campari each we both ordered the veal and a bottle of chianti ($69). The meal consisted of tenderised shoe leather on a bed of fried potato all swimming in a sauce. Just awful and the final bill of $173 added insult to injury. Give it and Hardware Lane a wide berth."

"Pizza is her main thrust and it is obvious why! The base is beautiful and soft, but with a bite as well as the quality of the toppings is excellent. Many pizzas to choose, but also to offer a few pastas. Great vibes and exceptional service. Book or go early is a must because it is packed quite quickly!"

"This place is fantastic. I have been there for breakfast and for lunch and at both times it was packed to the rafter. My favourite breakfast choice is the spiced ricotta with honey on toast. The ricotta is silky smooth and the the spices and the honey are perfectly balanced. follow this up with a caffe latte and you will be set for the day. My preferred lunch option here is the pasta simply because it is made on site every morning. So is the pizza base."
