"My family stopped here for lunch on our recent visit to Courtenay and I am very glad we did. The restaurant is very cute with a hippie vibe. It has natural wooden booths making you feel almost like you are in a forest. Good prices...with very nice staff. Cute patio area if it wasn't raining. I had the Yellow Submarine sandwich with gluten free rice bread. Vegan and gluten free. It was excellent, the best gluten free bread I have tasted. The restaurant makes in house and sells it if you preorder it. I wish I had known, I would have taken some home. The only thing I didn't like about the sandwich was that the olives were whole and not chopped up. One of my sons had the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and my other son had the Deli Rose. They were both happy with their choices. We all had Smoothies. One Berry Blast and 2 Pina Coladas. They were very good, but tasted like they had protein powder in them. My husband had the soup of the day and a hazelnut latte and was very happy with both. We all had cream cheese pie with strawberries for dessert and it was also excellent. We were very happy that we stopped here for lunch. Would come again if we are in the area."

"Great music, open and colourful..superb service and e best ever lunch..grilled cheese with chutney, Rubinstein with red cabbage and salds and soup beyond belief. Beer selection from their own brewery was the finale..not to be missed restaurant on 5th. Ave..a tourist destination!"

"The food is always fresh. The selection is large and so are the portions. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you will have plenty of choices. They staff are always friendly and accommodating. The patio is a great place to sit when it's warm outside. They also offer a great selection of drinks. Parking can be a pain and it can get very busy at lunch time, so plan accordingly."

"We drove from this place laborious times and the parking lot is full every time. my wife saw it up and the reviews were high with 300 reviews. we decided to try. despite the full parking space we sat right away. After we had ordered our drinks, we didn't have to wait long for them, and the same if we ordered our meals. we will definitely get in when we are back in the opposite."

"We got here just before the crowd and was able to get a table in an impressively engineered and earthquake proof patio. The food was good and hit the spot. But because the server did not get one of our orders correctly, we did not have a complete order to start. We would have gladly come back for breakfast the next day, but they were closed."
