"The food was really good we had asada and carnitas tacos and a chicken burrito supreme. Decent prices and walkable from a ton of hotels. Might have given them 5 stars if I didn't have to wait 30 min in the cold for the food"

"Conveniently located near Emerald Bay State Park this hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant offers mediocre but sizable burritos. I do not recommend the veggie burrito (veggies are just lettuce, guacamole, and onion). The asada had a nice char flavor."

"Tastes like it would be expensive and would come in tiny portions, our burritos were DELICIOUS, inexpensive, and as big as my head. I got a fajita burrito with asada, veggies and meat were well cooked, very flavorful and not overly salted. A+"

"Freshies was recommended by friends before some trips, we have never tried until our last night of this two week trip. We just managed to take the best place on the rooftop when a pair was released. The menu is fresh and unusual, many interesting vegetarian and vegan options included. We both decided to skip the meat, my husband had 2 tacos, a Portabello mushroom and the other tofu, they were both good and tasty. I had the Mana dinner, it was delicious and very full. The service was good, the view when the sun was located was amazing above the lake. Definitely on our list of Got to eat there every time we're in South Lake Tahoe! Just want to shoot again for this sunset!"

"This is a wonderful out of the way place to enjoy a delicious breakfast where everything is homemade. The owner is super friendly and sweet. You can dine al fresco under the beautiful trees out side the quaint restaurant or take a seat inside. Either way you will be delighted with the menu options offered. I love this place??"

"We have to eat paleo for health reasons and this restaurant knows how to do paleo! Many tasty choices and we all loved what we got. The non-paleo of our party said theirs was excellent, also. I can't wait to go back and try some other options. Wow!!!"
