"Es un restaurant sencillo donde se disfruta de una carne de res con poca grasa y asada -la cecina-, acompañada de unas enchiladas con pipián o tambien llamadas enpipianadas -abudante salsa de pipián-; estas enchiladas pueden ser con picante o sin él, pero tambien puedes solicitar un platillo de pechuga de pollo a la parillla acompañadas de las enpipianadas; desde luego que también hay una ensalada de verduras o frijoles para acompañar tu carne y; en cuanto a los líquidos encuentras o una refrescante limonada/naranjada así como también si lo prefieres una cerveza o refresco con gas. Los precios son muy razonables, que no te dejan ninguna incomodidad. La atención de igual forma es razonable, sin llegar a ser excelente pero sí aceptable."

"Tradition lives in every dish served at this restaurant. It's not only seafood, but a very complete menu complemented with meat and typical Mexican offerings. I had the tortilla soup, which was very good, tasty and enjoyable. As entrée I had the Carne a la Tampiqueña, which is arguably the most famous dish from Tampico. This is an original creation of the family that owns this restaurant, that has the cut, two quesadillas, a slice of grilled cheese, black beans and guacamole. The meat was remarkably tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. For dessert, I had the arroz con leche (rice with milk), another delicious traditional plate.This establishment has easy access, and it´s located pretty close to one of the main avenues (Avenida Universidad). Prices are very affordable. Attention is very good, always there but not intrusive. The only weak spot is the interior decoration, which was somewhat outdated.Very good restaurant overall."
