"Dee. Lish. Fantastic food and very quickly brought out... Apparently it was slower than usual on Thursday afternoon and the chefs were very ready to do something. It was the best sesame chicken I ever had with tasteful sauce, well cooked rice, and I was very pleased to find that my chicken, although hastily cut and not completely separated in some places, was still quite good. My husband got kung pao chicken, what seems to contain pretty sharp red pepper and possibly jalapenos? There were some great cuts of green paprika that, according to my husband, were extremely spicy. The lights in the dining area are very tidy and give a good ambience, although there can be a smiling dark in the evenings. I recommend you live the market while you are here. There are a variety of interesting ramen flavor, different noodles, all kinds of spices, a huge selection of neat chopsticks, and a super-boss cookware section."

"This food is so good. Fresh spices. Very flavorful. You can adjust the heat level from 1-10 on all dishes, which is a great feature. Staff are very friendly and attentive. They are also helpful with suggestions. We had vegetable dumplings and spring rolls, a curry dish with tofu and pad thai. They were all delicious! They can make the pad Thai without eggs. All dishes can be made with tofu or vegetables. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

"For this price of takeover, this place is very disappointing. I ordered the #13 Lunch Combination (Beef, Shrimp, Chicken Teriyaki) and it was the smallest portion of meat I have ever received from an Asian restaurant. I'm not going to come back here for lunch or dinner. There was also hair in my rice. If you see nearby, you can see it"

"Shiki is one of my go-tos when friends are asking about restaurant recommendations. Located in Homewood, it is convenient to downtown, Vestavia and Mountain Brook residents.The ambiance is nice. Inside, they have a dreamy, cloud-like ceiling that is lit with changing colors, and outside their is a cozy seating area.The food is always good with plenty of choices. My husband loves their ramen, and I like all the different sushi rolls they offer as well as the Pad Thai. If you are looking for appetizers, I recommend any of their tempura items, the sweet potato being my favorite.The only problem is that nearby parking can be difficult, but with Homewood being such a walkable city, you can easily park and walk."

"This is my first time having proper Chinese food I got the spicy chicken chow mein. It was nothing but impeccable. The lady at the front was very hospitable and nothing but nice. I gave her some of my food preferences and delivered exactly what I was looking for without knowing what I wanted. Nice family owned business that deserves all the success it gets! Delicious! Also my first restraint review so you know this place is good."
