"Ordered the lunch combo that was sashimi, deep fried pork chop deep fried chicken. First time had deep fried chicken even we have been there for years. Batter was too thick, but portion was huge. Since this type of deep fried chicken already had...sauce on top, it made the batter even worse, quite soggy. Deep fried pork chop wasn't being deep fried for enough time to have golden brown color and crunchy texture. They used to make super good deep fried pork chop. Hope this is a one-time error. Sashimi was quite small. The clam was cut into 2 small pieces. Probably due to high operation cost but without raising the price?! Their small side dishes were always good. Salad dressing was as good as usual, at least not using Thousand Island! This lunch combo is absolutely good size of the value. The other advantage is customers will get 1 stamp for every 10 spent and after 10 stamps, that will be 5 off. Service is still good, no complaint."

"Ordered their Bento Box and I really like the tempura and the beef. Not so much the teriyaki chicken though. Also ordered the california roll and it was delicious. Price-wise I think you get what you paid for. Portion is good as well. Service was fast - might not have been the best service but it was above average"

"We visited Shokunin for the first time guests between Christmas and New Year. Listen to raving reviews from friends and family we were very excited for this culinary experience. The food has absolutely no disappointment. Every product we tried was from this world in terms of quality. The Ramen and Bison tataki were personal highlights. The ambience and the surroundings were very casual enough to relax and not with some Classic 90's Rap Tunes that made me back to my teenagers. The only smaller call I would say would be our server. The floor manager was fantastic upbeat, funny knowledge. While our server seemed like he wanted us in and out as soon as possible. As a new diner to shokunin we had no idea the portion sizes and would have appreciated a little more of the relationship and directional style of the service than we retained. We asked about several menu items and got a word answers or comments about the price that was released and not what we even ask. Unfortunately, he missed several ways to sell us on other items and ons. Other than that one piece of Schokunin was fantastic and we will definitely be back! 4/5 :"

"Terrible. The food looked great, but my ginger chicken was very obviously undercooked as it was pink and chewy. The chicken was giant hunks and there were only 4 pieces of each type in the dish. The rice was mushy *and* crunchy somehow, not sure how they managed that. I have tried this restaurant once before and it wasn't great, but I don't remember it being this terrible. Would not recommend."
