"Japanese simple and clean and very friendly you get there. The table is covered like an artwork. The service radiates through good advice and attention. We chose the menu for Valentine's Day with five courses (one would have chosen 7 courses). Wine tasting. The food was artistically dressed an eyewitness of taste not disappointed. This will be our new Japanese!"

"Finally also a rammenladen in hamburg. chashu, chahan u gyoza seem to be made and are good. I had Shiyu wheels, the suppe is tastefully good, but very thick and greasy. also the true light brown color reminds more of miso than of shoyu. miso ramen in turn is quite raw, and also quite fat. if the suppenna was still slightly beaten, it could also be renner for a long time. at the moment it is not yet a takumi, umaimon or naniwa level as they know from düsseldorf. an enrichment for hamburg! and that should be underestimated!"

"Reviews of foreign (especially Japanese) cuisine tend to talk about whether a restaurant is authentic, and say less about how good eating is actually. Finally, in japan there are also authentic but rather poor restaurants. akari was a great sound. it does not look as authentic as it looks - there are few decorations that are typical of Asian / Japanese places in Europe, and it looks pretty simple. what immediately changes the impression is that all employees (specialists) are Japanese, and the menu: besides the usual cost, the Akari menu contains some dishes that are rarely found in Europe. we ordered a good cross-section of the menu, from standard-miso, mixed tempura, a sushi plate and some salmon-teriyaki - all excellent (maybe the best miso I had outside japans.) a small part of the menu in German language can be found at http://www.restaurant-akari.de/feedkarte/). exceptionally, there were also zaru soba (cold bookwheat noodles with broth - wonderful) and unagi (although with 26 euro not cheap for about 6 medium-sized pieces.) the staff was extremely friendly, the portions very good and saturating. for me perhaps the best Japanese food I found in Germany and one of the best outside japans (and I tried Japanese restaurants in at least one dozen countries) we will definitely come back! (reserve them a table - we had a very early reservation [18:00] on a Monday, and shortly after our arrival, people had to be rejected without reservation. unnecessary to mention that many of the customers were japaner - guess they know what is good)PS they seem to also take-away - we saw some people wearing bags with boxes with food"
