"To be fair we didn 't get to sample the food or anything else on offer. Upon entry we were stuck on the stairs behind a couple. A male employee impatiently asked me What 's going on here? to which I replied that we were hoping to be seated. Without any politeness or hospitality he promptly told us we 'd have to wait outside. As it was a cold December afternoon, waiting outside was not going to happen so we did not, and will not, return."

"This is the best place for Korean and Japanese food in Newcastle hands down. I have recently stopped visiting other Asian fusion restaurants in Newcastle due to many of them increasing their prices, which are not reflective of the quality of the dishes they serve. Stixs offer incredible food for amazing prices. Their Tonkotsu ramen is full of umami and incredible value for money. I would also recommend the Tonkatsu donburi as well for the same reasons. I’ve been twice in the last week alone! Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!!"

"Absolutely loved our starter dishes of the bang bang cauliflower with the sublime firecracker sauce and the delicious spicy teriyaki vegan chicken hirata steamed buns. I could eat those starters on repeat they are so good and so flavoursome. We also ordered the teriyaki vegan chicken ramen but found it to be a little bland, although the vegan chicken was great. We also got the tofu raisukaree, which had a beautiful fragrant sauce but the tofu was too soft and crumbly for my liking. Might have just been an off day for both main dishes but I would visit again, only stick to my personal favourite, the firecracker tofu."

"Went out for a family birthday, was the first time we visited here.... But definitely not the last. On arrival we perused the menu, which was extensive. On reflection I think we over ordered on the small plates but heyho. All the food was tasty and deliciously different. The mains were also of high quality. We had to admit defeat but the staff packaged up the leftovers for us. All in all I was massively impressed with food and the staff. Will definitely be back."

"Visited on a Friday night with a couple of friends. The fact that you can take your own wine makes it a cheap night out! I ordered the sesame chicken wings and Teriyaki chicken with sticky rice and recommend both."
