"I went in there last weekend and ordered the spicy miso with my wife and she ordered something else. The spicy miso is a soup that I've gotten there 10 times before. Its usually one of my favorites. This time there was something off about the soup. It tasted horrible. I I let the manager know and he offered me a free item as an appeasement. I ordered the pork belly slider things. I got home and the pork belly was hard as a rock like it was sitting under the heat lamp for hours drying out. I called the same manager back and let him know what was going on. I thought that they maliciously did it because I sent my soup back. He assured me that they didn't. He offered to give me a gift card. Took down my email and never sent the gift card. I paid a lot of money to have a bad experience there and I hope they get their kitchen back in order."

"Won't bash the establishment because the people working there were nice. However, I will never get ramen again from this place. Definitely not worth the $11.00+ they charge for it. Better off buying the ingredients yourself from the grocery store and making your own at home. Just my honest opinion..."

"We visited a Bonchon location out of state years ago and have been dying to go back ever since. Though long overdue, we finally visited the West Hartford location last night, and our experience was just as good, if not better, than we remembered. The batter and sauces on the fried chicken are fantastic, and the chicken itself was so fresh. The salmon avocado ball was delicious, and I can be critical of pork buns, so I ordered them to see how they compared to some of my favorite places. Bonchon nailed them! Flavorful sauces were used, the pork belly was great, and most importantly, the bun was soft and not dry. We tried Bull Dak for the first time and loved it, and of course it?s always fun when it comes in a sizzling hot plate. The bibimbap was tasty as well, and I liked the Bulgogi as a protein choice. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and the location was very clean and modern. I highly recommend checking this Bonchon location out!"

"My daughter and I were visiting Hartford and staying at Farmington. Read about this restaurant online and decided to stop by. We are vegetarians and ordered the Vegetarian Gyoza, Mrs. Peanut and Udon Noodles. We asked for extra spicy. Food was very fresh and delicious, servings were generous. Highly recommend it. "It was the first time taking my family to eat ramen. The kids had never had it before. Nor had they had bao. So everything was pretty new for them. The list of options were great, and so was the ramen. I’m based in California and I’ve tasted some nationally acclaimed ramen and Kaliubon on par with the best.The service was awesome, and even though we had a large party with lots of kids the restaurant was happy to accommodate.I was especially grateful for how grateful the waitress was. The kids dont get to eat out much and some of them have allergies, so they learned a lesson in ordering and how to make sure we’re all ordering correctly. The kitchen was able to work it in so there were no issues for the kids with shellfish allergies.The kids really enjoyed it and so did I. 10/10 would recommend."
