"After learning that their was a new branch of Cheesies in Evanston I had to take the long trek up the red and purple lines to Davis Street in Evanston to see if it was the same and any good. This time I went back to my usual choice, “The Classic” This is a sandwich of American Merkt’s Cheddar cheese, tomato, ham, and bacon, in texas toast, with a Tomato soup dipping sauce. Halleluah, it was as I remembered from a year ago, really, really good."

"Elephant Vine markets itself as a bright, clean, modern plant-based self-service joint. The aesthetics are certainly nice. The food, however, is rather basic... At least the southern comfort bowl. I was expecting it to have more kick, grease, and dark greens, but instead it was several scoops of veggies and lightly seasoned tofu on top of slightly dehydrated chopped romaine… like cafeteria food. I’m glad it exists, just wish the food was more memorable for the price. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-19"

"I visited Sea Ranch yesterday around 5 pm for a bowl of Beef Udon soup and it came with a freshly made California roll. Both were excellent and fresh. The broth had a home made taste to it which is a departure from most restaurant Udon offerings. I sipped it all after I polished off the noodles and beef. The place was very busy when I arrived and they were slow to acknowledge me and take my order. That said, the food was delivered to my table within 10 minutes of ordering. I stop in at Sea Ranch when I need authentic Japanese ingredients in a pinch, otherwise I frequent Hmart for greater variety and more competitive prices."

"Nicely priced food, but the staff is really what makes this place amazing. They take care of everyone and if you go during high traffic times, they are aware of who’s having a good time and who isn’t. They have a dart board and four pool tables in the back room (just ask the bartender for the darts if they aren’t out already). When it comes to food, I HIGHLY recommend you try the biscuit and gravy breakfast!!! I called in four orders to go and they wrapped each meal up in an amazing fashion and everyone was so impressed that I just HAD to call and send our compliments to the staff/chef. When it comes to the night music, I recommend you download the TouchTunes app because you can submit your requests without having to walk up to the jukebox (everyone is pretty chill about hearing a diverse style of genres). 5/5 and a MUST visit when in Evanston, WY."
