"Stopped in for the bolognese, tho I didn't realize it was vege. No matter, but answers my question where the meat was. Ha! However more importantly to me, the food, while looked great, was highly salted over running with oil. Needed 3 napkins to begin soaking it up.To say I'm disappointed would be about right. There's no need for all that, especially in a dish (it was take out) that's supposed to be a healthy choice. I was thinking prior to eating of trying some of their other offerings, but.... The ginger ale, however, was delicious."

"Not fancy, food comes up from the basement kitchen in aluminum takeout containers. But the eggs were cooked as I liked. The potato’s were great and it’s all vegetarian the all the time special is $6.50 (pictured, eggs, home fries and toast plus coffee or tea). Cheap for Manhattan. Hot chocolate comes unsweetened which is good for me because it’s usually way to sweet for me. Sugar in the raw is available. I’m coming back."

"Randomly stopped at this place looking for a bar to hang out while waiting for friend, it was such a good idea. they have tvs for games, plentiful bar seats, the margaritas I got were perfect. this place has beautiful high ceilings and feels really open, plus the staff was friendly."

"This was some of the best vegan food I've ever had in my life, by far. The restaurant was clean and quiet, the server was super friendly, the food came out fast (even though it was busy during lunch), and the food tasted outstanding. Finding vegan food at this level of skill and flavor is really rare and I'm so happy I got to try it. If you're ever in Manhattan, Peacefood is a must."

"I had the Mushroom Sloppy and the Rice,Beans, and Greens . Those entrees were delicious. The portions were small and had NYC prices. If you are an out of town hick like I am be prepared to pay. I was grateful that the place had outdoor seating. There is temporarily pandemic no inside dining in the small space. There is a chef among the primary people running the place, who cruises the farmer markets, and who creates new dishes. A refreshing non-cookie cutter experience. There is a paid parking lot a ten minute walk down the street. That lot is very close to the Holland Tunnel. The location is a bit difficult to get to for people driving into the city."
