"Sev Dahi Puri was okay. Samosa Chaat was not nice. Lazy cooking. Just giving plain channa for every item, be it Sev Puri or Samosa chaat. I dont know a single store in India who give plain channa for samosa chaat. Channa needs to be made with spices and authentic channa masala has to be mixed with samosa to get samosa chaat. If youre hell bent on having plain channa as an option, then you must have a spicy option which has a properly cooked channa with spices as well. I was disappointed with my samosa chaat."

"Jyoti is a terrific neighborhood place to grab a quick, bite in or a fast meal to go. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced for the quality you receive. And their rice is to die for! We got enough to feed four adults, two (very small) children, with enough for a lunch the next day for $34. Can't beat that! Inside the restaurant is small but nice. The staff is super nice and helpful. It's probably not a place you would go to eat in most of the time. But if you're flying solo, or just want to grab some food with a friend, they do have three tables and a small bar to eat at. Probably only 10 seats total."

"We are visiting Philly for a few days, and so far, didn't have a good luck with restaurants. We just finished eating at Minar palace and we all had a great time. We took the buffet and it was fresh, had good variety, and even my vegetarian teenager was happy. Service was very good and the price was excellent. You must try it."

"Went there on a business lunch a few times. Food was great! Last time I went, we saw roaches everywhere. 2 crawled on our table and one on the front counter. We laughed it off and didnt make much of a fuss. We did notify the staff and they awkwardly apologized. It didn't seem sincere. This was in the middle of winter. This place has a big roach problem and they need to fix. I would like to come back but I won't be for a long time until they fix that. And apologize to your customers"

"I have only positive notes! The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is sweet, and the cuisine is luscious. My husband had the 'railway chicken ' and really liked it, he is a tough critic. I had a masala dosa, yum, and the crispy eggplant chaat. 5 stars.What I am really jazzed about though is the weekend buffet. It seems that there will be many more Kerala dishes available then. There is something to try called kapu, I think it 's a pounded tuber with spices. This would be my ultimate dream restaurant if there was anywhere to dine outside but it 's a strip mall location. No worries if you normally dine indoors. They were also super kind about allowing us to use our own takeout containers. We will be back !"
