"Classic white table restaurant. Our reservation was on the early side so the dining room was quiet on arrival. As the evening progressed, more diners arrived and there was a noticeable hum in the air. The service was incredible. Our servers were attentive, informative and friendly. A plus! I ordered the king fish and it was perfectly prepared, crispy on the outside full of flavor and tender on the inside. I also could not resist ordering a side of grits with Gouda. I love grits and this one was smooth and flavorful. 10 out of 10. We shared the citrus pound cake for desert. The cake was more like a scone with a hard consistency I was not expecting that. It was topped with a citrus sorbet that was perfect in every way. Overall, our experience was lovely and we will certainly be back."

"We hired Bittersweet for both our Wedding Cake and Groom’s cake. Their cakes were excellent in both taste and design. Our wedding cake was a very traditional--5 tiers with almond/wedding cake outer icing, almond/wedding cake, and cream cheese filling. Not only was it easily one of the best–if not the best–cake we’ve ever tasted, the design was elegant and perfectly matched our wedding. They also worked with us to create a stencil for the outer icing which matched the design of the bride’s veil and was absolutely beautiful. The Groom’s cake was a chocolate cake with cookies and cream icing and oreo garnish. We decided to go with Bittersweet for the Groom’s Cake well after we’d asked them to make the wedding cake and they worked with me to schedule a tasting during my bachelor weekend in New Orleans on pretty short notice. With no direction from me other than the flavors I wanted they made a Groom’s cake that was not only delicious, but was also a perfect companion to the Wedding Cake. Overall, Bittersweet made delicious, perfectly designed cakes, and were very accommodating in doing so. We would highly recommend them and can’t wait to enjoy the top tier of our cake on our anniversary! Photos by James Shaw Photography."

"Swung by with some friends for tasting and learned some cool things about the distilling process. Good outdoor space in front and back as well as a pretty nice bar inside. Hard not to leave without grabbing a bottle for yourself."
