"Having just spent time in the beautiful town of Honfleur we were expecting the same warm welcome when dining in Rouen, but alas NO! We walked in to the old city centre near the cathedral and came across the AL1 restaurant. It was busy and...we asked for a table for two. There was an empty table which we would have liked to have sat at in a quieter area but the waiter offered us the option of two other tables in very crowded areas, making the point that he wanted a group of 4 at the table of our choice. Fair enough, so we chose to leave it and eat elsewhere. He then insisted we sit at the table of our choice, gave us menus and the impression he was happy to seat us there after all. 25 mins later and still no sign of being served whilst other people arriving after us were we decided to give up and were pleased to go elsewhere and spend our money. Don't upset the waiter in this restaurant he will be out to get his own back. Ridiculous behaviour and utterly unnecessary."

"J'y suis allée plusieurs fois avec des collègues et je n'ai jamais été déçue. Les menus proposés sont toujours simple mais bons. Très bons rapports qualité/prix. Et quand il fait beau petite terrasse ombragée très agréable. Personnel très gentil. Il vaut mieux réserver avant car souvent complet."
