"Bacco Trattoria deceives. For the high quality of the food that is conjured from the most modest “cucina” imaginable, this is a place that should have fancy curtains, wood-fired stone ovens and a patio ordained with Cinzano umbrellas — but no. Instead, it’s a modest one-off place with decor that downplays absolutely marvelous and moderately priced cuisine. I don’t want to take anything away from the Olive Plantations or Maserghini Grills of the area, but the real tablecloths sans crayons, delicious overloaded panini sandwiches in lieu of greasy breadsticks and the attentive service without the usual “…my name is written backwards on the meatwrap paper tablecloth and I’ll be serving you” coming from such modest digs — I don’t know whether to hope they stay where they are or wish them a well-deserved upgrade to quarters more in keeping with their high quality. Maybe I should just shut up, go back more often and enjoy this well-kept secret…yeah. Just forget that I said anything…go away! But just one little quibble: shouldn’t it be “Trattoria Bacco” like in the Old Country??"
