"We dined here for lunch today and it was meh to say the least. Service staff was distant and very obviously rolled eyes at each other, and our food was just okay. By far the most challenging and unexpected thing was that we ordered a side salad for our daughter on the kids menu. Waitress said we could select a house salad, or Caesar, or anything on the main menu. We ordered a Caesar salad and were served something with onions, olives, peppers, chicken, lemon vinaigrette basically the works for a kid salad and definitely not a Caesar. When I went to tell the waitress, a different waiter came by who very dismissively told me that they don 't do small Caesar salads and I needed to keep it. When I pressed that no, that 's not what we ordered, he demanded to know who told us that because there 's absolutely no substitutions and he took the salad away because we didn 't appreciate it. Then a completely different woman came over and asked again how we ordered a small Caesar salad and confirmed that no, it 's absolutely impossible to order that, but she could take it off the bill for us (shockingly low bar considering it wasn 't even at the table anymore)."

"I CAN HARDLY DINE OUT ANYWHERE ELSE! We have several local restaurants and cafes that offer excellent food. Ostras is by far my favorite. The flavors and textures of the food are fabulous. The culinary skills of the chef and his team are evident. The menu offerings are limited and each one is a treat. My favs: brussel sprouts with chorizo bits; Steak ala Plancha (chimichurri!! ; raddichio salad (not bitter so tasty!! ; boquerones; octupus. The mixologist has created an interesting offering of cocktails and each is beautifully presented! Wine wise: I like the Getariako Txakolina (white with a little effervescence and the Tres Picos Garnacha (red . Every client and friend I have introduced to Ostras has had a jaw dropping moment or two. Highly recommend!!"

"When my Lady said she wanted to see the Redwoods and Oregon Coast, I had only one requirement for my experience. Cucina Biazzi has been in Ashland, OR for as long as I remember, and I hoped it was still there. I remembered many meals enjoyed both inside and under the wisteria-covered patio. What I remembered most about the always amazing food was the Tre Formaggi Ravioli con Lobster, jumbo 3-cheese raviolis, with large chunks of sauteed lobster in a very special Lemon Cream Sauce. I have searched for it every place I have been since I left Ashland in 1999, but I have yet to find its equal. When we arrived, I began to fear that the dish may not be as good as my memories of it, that perhaps I had built it up over time into some mythical experience which no meal could live up to. I needn't have been concerned. When our server brought it to the table, I went into sensory overload just from the aroma, yet I was almost afraid to taste it. My first bite brought tears to my eyes. It was even BETTER than I remembered. The second bite brought even more tears of joy, and by the end of the first ravioli, I didn't know if I was going to be able to get through the rest of the dish, much less the rest of the meal. Yes, it was that good! I appreciate the staff for making us feel more than welcome, and for knowing when to stand back when a grown man is weeping in extasy over his meal. I can not recommend Cucina Biazzi highly enough. The setting is beautiful, the service is 5-star, and the food has been some of the best I have had in my life, anywhere. Squisito!"

"A different atmosphere than the usual...subtle, but able to have conversations without yelling. Food was also unique...I love trying different things and variations, and this is the place. The ribs were sweet with a kick ; my Greek Flatbread was loaded with olives and little tomatoes...a bit salty for my taste, but washed it down with their unique margarita, with a large sage leaf that lent a lovely fresh flavor to it. Nibbled on the sage leaf marinated in the margaritas and it left a pleasant taste in my mouth.I definitely want to go back and try more things in warmer weather,, the 2 large outdoor tents with fire pits will make for a great experience, as we love the outdoors and fresh air."
