"Probably the best place for Italian food in Bakersfield. Unfortunately that doesn't say all that much as IMO there are no excellent or even very good Italian restaurants here. There are other more expensive Italian restaurants in Bakersfield with okay food nothing memorable. But the food at Joseph's is pretty good, the service somewhat perfunctory, and it's really inexpensive. The salad that goes with the meal is better than average as is the soup option and I think you'll like most of the pasta dishes. Haven't tried their pizza or meat dishes, but I've lived here for several years and most of the locals like this restaurant for good inexpensive Italian food."

"This menu was not changed as Luigi and his family wandered through Ellis Island and ended up in Bakersfield Immigrant Ghetto, which holds the best authentic restaurants in the city. All authentic Italian delicacies style foods. Always hot, fresh and exactly as you hoped! It's always busy and crazy. Arrival extra early or make reservations!!!"

"My husband and I go here for every special event in our lives. Anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, you name it, this is THE place to go and when you do, Penelope is the server you want!! She was the server we had on our first visit and we've never had anyone else. On our second visit she remembered what drinks we ordered and brought them right to us and we've been friends ever since. Good service is extremely rare in Bakersfield and we cherish Penelope. The food is also excellent. My husband loves the stuffed mushrooms and their chicken strips. I almost always get their fish special. I have even written down a particular dish that wasn't on the menu that I felt like eating one evening and the chef whipped it right up for me. That's what I call service. If you haven't been to Uricchio's Trattoria, you haven't eaten! <3"

"We often stay at the River Run RV Park. To get there you turn right at the restaurant. We always notice a lot of cars there. Now we know why. Bring a big appetite the food is great. The French fries best I’ve ever tasted. Plenty of food and served family style."

"Very nice people work there to serve you . Just like the person to person contact when ordering a drink or another item too automated . Had a hard time ordering a drink from the bar, which would have been easier to say, Greyhound, please. Also couldn 't get a piece of cheese at an Italian restaurant, please. The server could only offer parmaguan cheese. Even a little piece of sharp cheese would have been nice. Fettuccine was fine, it actually deserved to have a bottle of wine with it . The restaurant was hard to figure . Overall , good food , great people."

"I'm sorry, but I was really excited to eat here and looking forward to dinner today I chose a pasta that had a sun-dried tomato sauce and it wasn't the best pasta I ever had. I also have a pizza that was grateful and I will recommend it to every pizza lover. We also had the lasagna, which was also a good choice. In the end we ate a tiramisu that tasted strange and not like any other I've ever had, the mascapone cheese was clobig and it tasted a little old. I'd just give 5 stars of me the pizza, but otherwise it's from me"

"Good food but be warned: if you 're asked if you want parm you are charged $2 for the shaker...who ever heard of such a thing? Most pizza places have the cheese and spice shakers on the table. We should have been advised of the extra charge."
