"Although the place was basically full, we could find a table for four. I had the mushroom pasta that was delicious and the other three had steaks that was tender and tasty. Although the service was slow, if you wished a relaxed evening with good food at a good price, I would really recommend this place. The pizzas and antipastos that went past another table looked great and they have my favorite coffee brand (Illy) that tasted delicious. My chocolate soufflé was over, which was disappointing, but it still tasted good and the ice cream she served with him was... I will definitely return. 4 persons: bottle of wine, water, beer, cola, 4 main dishes, with a desert and 3coffees was €112. I think so well."

"It is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area of Esslingen and Stuttgart! Not the usual italian food - many especialties you don't find normally! The service is perfect - friendly and responsable for evetything! All is done on a very high level! We love this restaurant!"

"Located at the back of the restaurant this large raised beer garden can be accessed through the restaurant or via a side staircase from the street. It has large, mature, oak trees for shade and lots of seating. One of the city waterways runs directly...past. This is one of the restaurants we visit each time we are in Esslingen because of this fantastic beer garden and good local dishes. During the past year they appear to have attempted to modernise their food. There are a lot of alfalfa bean sprouts covering dishes which didn’t have them previously and certainly don’t need them. One of the local salads is now served in a trendy Kilner jar with too many bean sprouts sprinkled over the top!! . The beauty of the local cuisine is that it is basic ‘peasant’ food done very well it doesn’t really need modernising in this way. If I wanted fancy food which can be tremendous as well I’d go to a fancy restaurant! Here I want well made local food in a proper beer garden. Don’t get me wrong, the food is well made but lacks authenticity now. The next summer visit will probably just be for the beer and wine. The local rose is well worth a try irrespective of the hopelessly bean sprouted food"
