"Mannheim Castle, located in Mannheim's Lindenhof district, and the main railway station are within walking distance. As you can expect, the restaurant is on the Rhine with magnificent views of the water and the passing ships. It is only separated from the river through the Rhine, in beautiful weather you sit here in the rustic beer garden in the 1. row, some of the terraces are even covered so that even shiny sun rays or a short rain shower do not spoil the beautiful outdoor feeling. A beautiful stone fountain in the middle conveys a pleasant fresh feeling even at very hot temperatures as well as the large shading trees. Inside spacious furnishings in modern bistro style, tables beautifully covered, as well as fresh flowers and wind lights on the tables. In the middle of the restaurant a large iron ore impresses, which is planted lushly and is reorganized depending on the season. Large ceiling fans bring some cooling to the ceilings in the warm season. Overall successful ambience with a mixture of old chandeliers, old parquet floors,...... and modern elements decoration, light installation.... For me the most beautiful room is the cozy living area with open fireplace. After a wet cold winter walk on the Rhine, a short stop here is difficult to bite with burning fire to warm up with coffee and cake. The kitchen of the restaurant offers a crossover, e.g. Schnitzel, Galette, Burger, Fisch, Curry, ............. Known as a schnitzel or Rumpsteak is here the hand with imagination such as a foliage of the pearl with lemon or pine carpaccio with peppermint and regional such as Palats Platte, hand cheese. Here should find something for every taste and purse. The whole is completed by seasonal dishes pumpkin, wild, mushrooms...... a lunch table, vegetarian and vegan dishes and a plentiful selection of cakes, ice cream and cakes in the afternoon. We had to taste: flame cake with fresh asparagus and ham and very tasty Rheinterrassenburg beef pattie, briochebrötchen, bacon, tomatoes, cheese chilisauce, wild herbal salad and jalapenos, herbs and pommes my favourite was enthusiastic about the burgers, the pommes unfortunately too little salted and only lukewarm. The small additional salads ordered for this were worth EUR 6.50. The pilgrims and the Rhababerschorle are good. As dessert we still went a cream bread with berry fruits and fresh mint as well as milk coffee somewhat disappointing the cream bread, as well as a good vanilla pudding with caramel coat lacked crust! We were served fast and friendly. I noticed the very clean toilets of the restaurant, with which unfortunately not every place can wait."

"I know this restaurant since the time i lived in Mannheim. Then it was vibrant and lively place with good food, good value, and excellent service. I came again after nearly 3 years to be completely dissapointed. When we arrived the table we haev reserved...was given to someone else. We had to wait nearly 20 min until a table become available and another 10 min for someone to take our order. After nearly an hour from the time we arrived we got out food. No appologies, and no effort whatsoever to compensate for the delay and the poor treatment. The food is okay but pricey overal not worth it. It's with sadness in my heart that I decided to not come here. I would opt instead for one of the other Italian options like DaVino where i can have better and more personalized service, tasty food, and great value for money. Sorry."

"Just what you would expect from an average Italian restaurant. Food was good, nothing special, we had pizza and spaghetti with sea food. This would not be my first Mannheim restaurant recommendation to friends, as it's your typical Italian you can find in every city."
