"Echte Wiener Wirtshäuser werden immer seltener, seit die Stadt mehr und mehr vom Kurzzeit-Tourismus vereinnahmt wird. Der "Löwenhof" unweit des Franz-Josefs-Bahnhofs ist noch eines der echten Wiener "Beisln". Die Räumlichkeiten sind traditionell im guten Sinn; die Küche ist wienerisch; die Getränke sind gepflegt, und die Preise passen. Die Wirtin ist charmant und zuvorkommend, die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir gehen immer wieder gern hin - auch mit Gästen, denen wir ein Stück echter Wiener Wirtshauskultur und nicht eine der Touristen-Ausspeisungen im 1. Bezirk bieten wollen."

"I'd like to think we are sophisticated people, not your typical "American" tourists. We live near NYC and we know what good restaurants are. Unfortunately, Das Johann was not what we would consider a good restaurant. Sure, it's a very nice place that offers more of an "elegant" dining atmosphere. It looks nice on the surface. Our opinion quickly went downhill. First of all, I take offense to the fact that this restaurant considers anyone who is a vegetarian a "vegan." There is a distinct difference between being a vegetarian and being a vegan. I am mostly a vegetarian, but I will eat a few non-red meat products. I wanted a few items from the vegetarian menu and a few from the non-vegetarian menu. Our very rude and inconsiderate server nastily told me I could not pick and choose. If I wanted any vegetarian items, I had to order them all. The food was just OK - certainly not worth what we paid for it, and dessert, in particular, was terrible. We ordered a few drinks (which were not included with our meal), and paid in cash for those drinks. The sever just assumed that all of the money we gave him was his tip and never provided any change in return. He made out with a very nice tip for having such a lousy attitude. Do yourself a favor and don't eat here. Just visit the Kursalon for the concert, and you will be plenty happy."

"My wife and I chose to sit inside this air conditioned, very attractive dining room (there also is lovely outside seating.) We were pleasantly surprised that all pasta was made on premises. and what a difference it made for my Papadelle ai funghi and for my wife's Linguini al pesto. Never had it better. For a first course we had chosen rucola salad, very fresh and young tender leaves. The Gavi San Pietro wine went very well with our dishes. The Illy Espresso was excellent as usual. Our bill came to EU 47 plus gratuity. next time we are in Vienna, we definitely will re-visit Angelo.The owner Angelo is a charming person and couldn'thave been more helpful."

"Had for 31.3. in the evening a table reserved. the reservation was accepted by a dame. arrived locally did not appear to be a reservation for us. a coworker or. the chef explained without confirmation of reservation there was no chance and would not have had any service on the day of our call (despite the call log of our smartphone).The ton was consistently friendly, nothing to say about, but from the beginning to accept the customer is fault, although the error was obviously on the local side, does not testify to functioning problem management.Facity: 3 potential customers."

"I am convinced that the restaurant was recently closed and reopened under a new name. however, the casss occupancy prints as fiorenzano with the same address. we had a late lunch and had a fantastic experience. great value., large portions, tasteful, fantastic service. even a few laughed with the staff. a wonderful foundation that is hidden in a back road of hown near the hofburg."

"Staying at the Hilton 3 block walk. Saturday evening shops closed restaurant serving pizza and salads. I had a misto salad. Crisp greens. My wife had a grilled veg salad (cold). Tasty. We shared a bacon, smoked ricotta and spinach. Thin crust....Wood oven baked. Glass of wine and beer. Good meal. Reasonable price."
