"Went out here for lunch with a friend, it was a sunny day so got a table outside. We both ordered the chicken club sandwich, which came with chips and both agreed it was excellent value for money at £7.50. Really tasty!"

"Close to the railway station liverpool street in the city, but not occupied by an evening. good bar in the upper floor and a quiet restaurant in the ground floor, in the evening, contrasted pleasantly with some of the noisier city places for an evening. excellent for fish and oyster."

"Very tasty and especially regional food. Very recommended for a nice evening. However, you do not sit comfortably on the long bench (even though extra pillows are added). Still, it's a great restaurant. Come back!"

"I celebrated part of my birthday weekend with some dancing and cocktails at Jewel. Ambiance: 4.5 A fantastically fun ambiance for a girly birthday celebration with friends. Jewel is aptly named as the entire venue feels as though you've stepped into someone's turn-of-the-century (the previous one jewel box. Glistening chandeliers hang from the ceiling, billowy scarves are strung from wall to wall, giant tapers burn, providing a decadent and rich lighting (though my now old, boring self kept thinking: Oh God, I hope no one catches fire! Service: 3.0 The service was pretty decent, but nothing outstanding. They were quite prompt and friendly enough. As we were only ordering from the bar, it's hard to say anymore. I will have to try going back for a sit down occasion. Drinks: 3.5 Now, this bar offers a very lengthy variety of different cocktails, but I really only opted for a couple of pimm's (it had already been a pretty lavish birthday weekend at this point, and the menu was pretty expensive . The pimm's were pretty generic, not even any fruit in mine, but I guess that's what I get for ordering the cheapest thing on the menu! I will be back to try out their proper cocktail variety some time. Final Verdict: 3.5, with the highest portion of the rating coming from the ambiance itself. Definitely a fun place to celebrate a special occasion with friends if you're in the mood to feel sparkly!"

"Gows is the pits. I had just dinner at gows, was so bad I actually logged in to create an account to post this. the personal was inconspicuous, our table became with glasses that already half drunk drinks in them, they forget our drinks, etc. overall disappointing, but fortunately with relaxed people. to round it off, it is for mediocre/poor quality food that leaves me with a stomach pain. agree with other reviewers that I would rather have mcds from leberpool st st st stn than eating at this place. never again too many restaurants in the opposite order to sacrifice a meal."
