"While waiting for availability at another restaurant, we reluctantly took a stroll over to Alkaline to only order drinks at the bar. With good fortune they did not have any seating at the bar and placed us at a table. We reviewed the drink menu first and decided on a specialty drinks before our waitress introduced herself. And after further review of the small but satisfying menu (and viewing other people's plates we decided to ditch the other restaurant and order from the appetizer menu. We ordered every dish on the appetizer side of the menu. We were huge fans of the Brussels Sprouts, Wings and Tater Tots. The Green beans are served cold, but we did not mind. We did have to fight over the last rib, but they were pretty good too . I was not a huge fan of the shrimp toasts only because I did not enjoy the texture. I would have only given them 4 stars for the overall items that we ordered, our drinks and for how warm and cozy it was in the restaurant. But, I had to give them one more star for the staff. They were absolutely great. Our waitress Muni (sp? Was great and the other staff members stepped in to make sure we had our food as quickly as possible. Also, without even knowing we overstayed our welcome by about 40 mins and they did not kick us out "

"I don’t like to leave bad reviews but the disappointment of the take away we’ve just had means I feel compelled to write this. Clearly understaffed, we waiting minutes beyond our pick up time (having ordered at least minutes prior to that). Nothing...about this was good. We had chicken satay which was missing satay sauce. We had half a duck with the smallest pot of hoisin sauce (thinkMcDonalds ketchup tub size). Fortunately we had a bottle of sauce at home. Cucumber and spring onion was more carrot and spring onion and one pack of pancakes was mushy at best. Main courses chicken massaman with the most watery sauce ever. Sweet and sour pork and a beef dish. Very little meat and what there was wasn’t very good quality. Pad Thai and rice were ok though not much can go wrong with those."

"First, I will start with a GOOD point the young waitress was very friendly welcoming. Unfortunately, the food was to say the least an 'expensive disappointment '. We had W7 (Pad Kee Mao hot spicy stir fried chicken), R1 (Jasmine rice), two N4 (Spicy Noodles: one with chicken and one with beef) and C3 (Ganga Pa 'Jungle Curry ' with duck). It was clear that the chicken had been pre cooked and reheated when added to the sauce/vegetable mixes (being dry with no browning and minimal penetration of flavour into the meat) in contrast, the vegetables in W7 and C3 were plainly fresh. The duck was also clearly pre cooked/re heated when added to the curry. The sauces were verey good, from the view point of spice/taste balance, however both of the noodle dishes were VERY salty. My wife (who was present at the meal) is from Taiwan and has thirty five years plus experience preparing these type of dishes, using fresh meat and vegetables, on a daily basis so we are not speaking from a standpoint of ignorance in relation to these types of dishes. She raised the saltiness of the dishes whilst at Dangs, and got the reply only mother knows how to cook the right taste for you . Cannot disagree with that, in the case of my wife 's mother, who is also an excellent experienced cook... Portions were also extremely small, given the 'fine dining prices ' associated with them. The Jasmine rice two thirds filled a small rice bowl, and each of the other four dishes would have fitted into a small rice bowl as well. Really cannot understand where the other reviewers derived their postings from, based upon our experience. We visited on 23rd October 2022, in the evening."

"I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Last minute dinner decision, and more than exceeded my expectations blew them away. The waitress was AMAZING! So friendly and engaging. I would go back just for her sunny personality and sense of humor. Fortunately, the food was DEElish as well!"
