"If you're looking for a good soul food in the uptown area, that's all! eating was absolutely delicious. And the corn cake was warm and sweet. It has an old food vibe, so come on, how you are. I gave him four stars because they were among the workers when we were going recently. the one server that works did her best, but they can only do so much when they are the only tables."

"Such a GREAT alternative to the original Pancake House on the street. The atmosphere is great, seems much more family-friendly, and the staff is enormously helpful and friendly. What seemed the manager would go through the dining areas and check for customers. There is a bar area, a dining area upstairs and the main underfloor. arrived on Sunday at 10 am and was already busy, not waiting. At 10:15 a.m., however, a line was formed from the door. Eating is very easy what I love. Not heavy on butter, oils and fats. Crab Cake Benedict was AMAZING. Crab meat was super tasteful and was amazingly moist. Very hard to pull out in most places. The traditional breakfast was very good and filling. Grits with cheese was ok, I prefer the texture at Flying Biscuit off Park Rd. Sausage was not salty, but very well seasoned, and the scrambled eggs were as easy as you can get. The orange juice, although described as freshly squeezed by the waitress, tasted more on the lines of Tropicana. Original Pancake House pressed orange juice tasted much more authentic and not a cartoon. Not perfect, but one of the best breakfast places I was in Charlotte. "This place is awesome! The service is outstanding and the food is fresh and delicious. I am definitely going back for more. We had the Buffalo crispy chicken sandwich, the honey burger and an array of delicious doughnuts. So good and there is a nice bar to have a drink or two while you wait on your food. Definitely a 5+ stars! Fran and her team are great!"

"Food is below average for this caliber of restaurant. Wife and I had filet and it wasn't seasoned at all and the reduction was bland. Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Fries were the best thing. Daughter and the kids burger and liked it. Caesar salad was okay but cheese pieces were too large. Cocktails and wine were decent and the best thing of the whole meal. Service was good and prompt. We had a resort credit and next time we stay we'll use it at the spa and eat elsewhere. We've had better meals at chain restaurants like Texas Roadhouse"

"We when her on a Saturday night for dinner and both ordered the Bourbon Braised Beef Short Rib bottle of wine. Now the wine we wanted they did not have so we got our second choice, they did discount the price since they didn 't have what was on the menu. Now when the Beef Short Rib dishes arrived on of them the meat was over half fat. I did say something to the manager and he offered a cake to us, so we accepted that. However, when the bill came we were charged for the cake. We will not be going back here. The person waiting on was good so I did leave a tip, it was not her fault."
